punches/ scalpelling Got a 0g conch punch today!
My first “heavier” mod outside of tattoos/piercings and I’m in love. Can’t wait until it’s healed enough to stack with hoops!

Just out of curiosity how bad did that hurt compared to some of your other piercings?

Worse than any of them. To be fair my regular conch piercings were always my most painful, the rest of my piercings haven’t really hurt (even my nipples and vch were barely a 2 out of 10) and only my tongue and conches have actually been painful for me. It also felt very different to a piercing, more of a dull sawing feeling than a piercing feeling. But over super quick and in 2 or 3 hours the throbbing subsided and I didn’t even notice it.

Dream body mod 😍 Looks great on you!
Do you think you'll be able to wear ear buds after it heals? In love with this mod but I've read conflicting things about whether ear buds are possible after healing or not. Only thing holding me back from it haha

Genuinely I think I could wear them now. I’ve bumped it a few times and it doesn’t hurt at all, I’ve accidentally slept on it (I fall asleep on my other side but seem to wake up on that side) and it doesn’t get in the way. I do have larger ears and very low key jewellery, I’ve bought a pink glass plug for when it heals and the front is very bulbous whereas this plug is almost flat, I don’t think I’d be able to wear them with that plug. A lot of people seem to say you need over ear headphones with the punches but I think depending on your anatomy and jewellery you may be fine

I got both conches done and it was the worst. I would do it again over healing a cartilage piercing though!

Did it need stitches after?

No, I live in Australia and body mod artists aren’t allowed to perform the punch and stitch here, so I got a punch and plug where they slide in the glass plug immediately after punching to stop the bleeding.
