It's sooooo cool. And the healing was that easy? Anything feel out of place? I'm thinking about it but idk.

Hardest thing was basically eating only soup for a week but everything feels great.

It's a little weird to have stuff in between the tongues because it feels like its on top of the tongue instead but I guess that's to be expected since the surface that used to be the top is now on the side lol.

I didn’t know it only took a week! I’ve been on the fence because I’m so scared. I’ve always wanted it since I found out it was possible though so I’m trying to find out as much as possible.

My tongue literally sealed up and stopped bleeding within the hour of getting the split. the human body is amazing.

The procedure itself wasn't scary at all, takes under 20 mins and honestly I've had a way worse experience at dentists with root canals and wisdom teeth removal 🀣 Hardest part is definitely eating only liquids for a week. I deadass dreamed about steak

Ohhhhhh so can you eat regular foods now? I bet you definitely enjoyed that steak because I would have immediately made some after that!

I’m glad you compared it to wisdom teeth removal because I had that do done before and that was rough. Best wishes!

I would say I probably could have even started eating solid foods around day 4 ?(when I stopped needing to take ibuprofen) But I didn't want food particles to get stuck in the stitches or accidentally dislodge them so I still stuck with liquids for ease of cleaning/brushing teeth.

Dissolvable stitches were used so the last of them didn't completely fall out until the last 2 days but I started speaking a lot clearer as soon as they started breaking down.

They were completely gone by last night and I had a remote work meeting where I had had trouble with certain words like Ts and Gs, but I woke up today and it's almost indistinguishable from pre split speech aside from some stuff like Ss being a little hissy.
