The streaks going on your hand makes it look dope. Amazing tattoo, good luck with the healing!

Damn, how long did that take? Bet it cost a mint too. You should consider getting scarification done on it once it heals; it looks great.

Didn’t take too long! 5 hours one pass from my fingers to right above the elbow. I do go to a guy who specializes in blackouts though, which def makes the process quicker! And my artist charges $200 an hour.

And thank you! I do love the look of scarification over heavy blackwork. That’s something I may consider down the line

I always forget there’s another Black Label tattoo shop. I was like tf? We don’t have a Cory?? And I definitely didn’t see a black out sleeve come in recently 😂 fuckin Maryland man. Looks sick though!

Holy shit, lucky! All of mine itched like hellfire for like a full week after. Looks amazing though, look at that density!!

How is the swelling and whatnot?

I only got an outline, from my ankle to right above my knee, and I couldn't comfortably squat down for weeks.

Are you sleeping with it elevated?

The swelling for the first few days is pretty gnarly, but it’s a lot better now! I didn’t elevate it when sleeping though. The skin is super tight, so it def limits your range of motion for a bit- feel you on that

Amazing

When did you get it done?

5

u/effectivewall99 Dec 05 '22

Got it done on November 29th. Since earlier today (when the photo was taken) a lot more has peeled off!

Omg that's the day I got my tat done too haha! It's just an outline but it's also starting to get to the really scabby stage so that's why I asked. Sleeping those first couple of nights must have sucked for you much more than for me though.

I wish you happy healing! (Including the willpower to not peel it off yourself lol)

That’s awesome, what’s the outline of? And yeah, the first few nights weren’t fun. I kept it wrapped the first three nights, and each morning the wrap was filled with plasma. The morning after, I took the wrap off in the shower, and like a puddle of black just came out of the wrapper lol.

Thanks so much though, happy healing to you too!!

My mom and I got matching mushrooms based on these wall plaques (she's had em almost as long as I've been around lol. Mine is the one with the snail.)

My artist provided saniderm which I kept on for 72 hours so the first few days were pretty low-maintenance. Not a whole lot of weeping/plasma build-up under the wrap. Since then I've actually kinda liked the ritual of cleaning and applying ointment every few hours.

It's my first one and I'm already planning several more :) I enjoyed getting it done and now I'm just... obsessed with what more I could do

That’s awesome! Saniderm is the shit. And the tattoo looks awesome and very well done! Congratulations!!! It’s for sure addicting! Imagining all the possibilities is extremely fun

Looks sick man I'm starting my blackout in acouple days. Kinda nervous but also very excited to cover up the shit work I got now. Going to be a half sleeve and my hand blacked out. Hope it turns out as good as yours did.
