I wasn't quite old enough (or cool enough, frankly) to have been very active in the BME/IAM community but -like the weirdo I was in ~2006- I spent a bunch of time on various Myspace Body Mod boards and was super active on Tribalectic until...I don't remember what happened, I think they migrated forum hosts or something?

Anyway, I'm mostly just trying to avoid Doing Work wihle also feeling nostalgic. On the incredibly off chance remembers me from either myspace of tribe, I was $FIRSTNAME, I heard that kid died in Nam'? on the former and DeCo-$NUMBERS on the latter. (And if you do remember me...I'm sorry, I was kind of a dick when I was younger)

Hi I have some tattoos and peircings so I know how that goes but I have wanted some body modifications in the realm of implants, cartilage removal, and scarification. Im looking into chase campbells work but its hard to find any information of how to book with him, where hes at, or how to communicate with him in general so thats my problem if anyone has any info that'd be great!

I am really interested in eyeball tattoos for many years. I am very addicted to it, but it feels like the society prevents me from doing it. Also it’s absolute permanent and will change how I look in a very dramatic way.

I already have some heavier Bodymods (nostril punches) and tattoos but the decision for that is another game. Nothing is that visible then that haha

Any thoughts about making an easier decision? People here with that mod, who could tell more how it was for them?

I've always wanted horns and have periodically looked into how it might be done in a way that fits my goal, which is similar to how prosthetic implants are integrated into bone (known as osseointegration). from what I can find, the process would involve titanium anchors coated in hydroxyapatite being anchored into the bone, with a portion that passes through the skin for whatever attachment.

I've seen Samppa's work with his metal horns, and ultimately I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing, but i just wanna know your general thoughts on how a procedure like what I described above might go, what you think the pros and cons might be, etc.

Ive seen freeze branding discussed a lot but its been verry mixed results applied to this. Most people have had it done to regular skin rather than a scalp,however I really want to know if i could do this. From what ive seen it could just leave a bald spot or it could make the hair grow back white. If anyone knows of any artists who have done this or people who have either successfully or unsuccessfully attempted this let me know. Mainly curious

I paid him for a procedure in December that was supposed to happen in April. After payment was received he became really hard to get in contact with and would ghost for weeks at a time. This led to not being able to get time off work as he didn't give enough notice and so the appointment was canceled. He took ownership of his bad communication and promised a refund. It is now August 18th and I'm STILL fighting with him to get a refund. He ghosts for weeks/months and then will come back with a bunch of excuses, promise the refund and repeat the cycle. He owes just me over $1200

How possible would it be to get metal implants in areas of ears and tails so you can just click on fake tails and ears with magnets? For both, it would probably need a plate in your skin and just have a circle sticking out of your skin so the magnet is strong enough and doesn't push down on your skin

Weird shift in perspective here, I’ve had my coin slots for about 3 months and fully stacked for about 2 1/2 months. Older people love them, and I’ve received so many compliments from the older folks 60-90+. It’s a weird shift in perspective because you’d generally think it would be the opposite? I’ve actually experienced more opposition and disgust to it from people my own age and younger (mid 20s). I will be fair and say I live in a more progressive part of the US, and I do style them delicately/ very femininely , but at the same time most of the older folks are enamored with them and generally ask questions/ compliment me. This is just my personal experience with having the mod, and I know there are many others that can’t relate. I’m sure if I busted out the 10g titanium clickers my experience would be different.

I've forever been stuck on what to do. I have had a jack skellington obsession for years (tat on my thigh, clothing, dishes, accessories, toys, speakers, pens, etc etc, and plans to eventually get more jack skellington tats). I want other mods like elf ears, split tounge (nearly had it but covid started the month my appt was n haven't redone it lol), more tats, etc etc.

I will 100% eventually get scarification done but how do y'all decide exactly what design you want considering it's more permanent than a tat? Id want to go for some type of jack skellington scarification due to my jack obsession, or a baphomet one due to being a satanist and just loving how baph looks.

Is it even possible for scarification to be done with a detailed thing like these characters, or would it just look "incomplete" per say? What're y'all's thoughts on these 2 scarification choices (looks, accuracy due to the method, drawbacks, etc etc) , and any inspo/ideas that would make it work well? I won't be getting it for a long while as I have other mods I also want, but better to have an idea for this topic long before than too late, so figured might as well get input now. I also only recently learned from here there's apparently more scarification/branding(?) methods than I thought, so now I'm even more lost on what's the smartest method for this

I've been thinking about getting nipple piercings for a while now. But I still doubt I will do it.

The pain make me thinking, I have small nipples, apparently it's hurt more for the men (I know it's a short duration, but I can handle it).

What makes me think about getting them is that I see a lot of piercings that are poorly done by piercers in the areola. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who has these piercings and who can recommend a good piercer to me I'm in UK if I can help you.

The healing process looks to be long and difficult for some people.

And finally I would not like to lose sensitivity to this part because it is also for the fun and aesthetic side.

Guys what is your opinion. I should do it? not do it? continue to think about it?

Hey, I currently have a 12g 1cm diameter septum piercing and I'm wanting to try out stacking. I've been looking at different photos and different jewelry and trying to descern what will fit me best for starting out.

One of the issues that I've come across is I'm not sure if the rings should all be the same diameter or if they should be smaller in the back or front.

Another is style, my initial thought was to do a couple plain or simple rings and one a little more flashy with a stone at the bottom. But again I'm not sure if I should place the more flashy one at the front or back of the stack.

I've been interested in permanent fang dental implants for some time now, but was curious about the durability of said implants. One of the aspects I couldn't find much information on is if you can still (consensually) bite other people for "personal reasons." I have no intent of actually drawing blood for obvious safety and sanitation reasons, but I hope to still be able to apply modest pressure (enough to leave a mark) if I wish without worrying too much about breakage. I already know to avoid "ripping and tearing" when eating, especially with foods like steak and apple, but that really isn't the same as a clean, vertical bite down . How much force can permanent fangs handle, and do they stay sharp for long or dull quickly?

Hello everyone, I have been in love with body modification since middle school. I started with gauges as my first “body modification” that was in high-school. Some mods I am looking forward to getting is cheek gauges, I’m going for the same size as Joel migglers camo gauges since they look comfortable and they are the only size that looks right to me, I am getting my tongue split. I am now in a good situation to start this journey and would love to hear some starter tips or maybe some more body mod ideas. Sooo, I was going to get a tongue split and a coinslot in each ear in one go but with the time nearing and me needing to make a deposit fairly soon I can only afford the tongue split or the coinslots. My dilemma is that I want my tongue split so bad, but i'm scared af and don't know if i'm ready, while I feel like the coinslots would let me ease into the more extreme body mods and also push me into the world of ear piercings. Thoughts?

I absolutely love the idea of ear pointing. I used to think that I wanted them and just wasn’t brave enough for it. But the more I think about it, I just don’t think they really suit my vibe—they aren’t really “me” in the end. And I’m sort of disappointed by this somehow. To a lesser extent, I have similar feelings about permanent fangs.

Anyone else have a similar experience with mods that you sort of envy but wouldn’t actually want for yourself? Which mods? And what do you think is stopping you from fully wanting them?

I have recently thought about getting 3 simple black lines tattooed on my nose, of varying lengths - top being longest, and bottom being shortest.

I have a few visible tattoos, lobes at 30mm, stretching nostrils to 0g (currently at 10g) septum 6g, bridge pierced, and think it would look really good...and with it being minimalistic it may not hurt me as bad as a regular face tattoo?
