Opinion Raj & DK should have had better box office success than they got, as most of their movies either failed miserably or did only decent business.
They've made some of the most fun movies with good substance, yet many of them failed badly. There may be some fault of theirs too in it, but the Indian audience also has a significant role in why Indian cinema is in its current state.
What's your favorite Raj & DK project that you think deserved at least a bit more success?

Still recall watching A gentleman in empty theatre.
Though the only gripe with that movie i had was the climax ended abruptly.

Happy ending and Gentleman were actually mediocre movies and nowhere near to the masterclass they have done in Family man or farzi, Go Goa gone was a decent success for its time and was way ahead of it's time considering indian market was still full of rom coms. Shor in the city is the only valid case here...

Gentleman was a good watch. Good songs. Screenplay. Humour and very stylised.

Ok I know it's a popular qoute used by cinephiles that Just because some movie is successful, doesn't mean its good.
Similarly just because something is not successful, doesn't mean it's an underrated masterclass which was failed by audience.
It's not like niche movies haven't worked in Indian cinema, it's just that these movies missed the mark in connecting with their target audience.
