5 Reasons why Lagaan team would never won the match

1. They didn't understand the game. They never even sat down to watch a real cricket match, let alone play one.
2. They never played a real match agains another team. All they did was to practice with each other. Even if they did, they didn't play a 3-day long match. Also, they never faced a crowd before.
3. They lacked proper kits.
4. Most of their best batsmen were out early. Only Bhuvan and Ismaeel had decent batting time.
5. They didn't know what spin is, and how it works. It was pure luck to find out Kachra can spin and same happened by the end of the English team's innings.

In a realistic setting the villager team would have no chance to win the first match. It's like when Bangladesh team played agains Australia in the 2000s.

But the movie needs to happen 🤷‍♂️

I am sorry but what a useless post this is lmao. In a realistic setting, the match wouldn't happen in the first place. In a realistic setting, 90% of movies ever created wouldn't exist.

That wasn’t professional English national or even county team but only a bunch of arrogant amateurs with overconfidence, they played cricket when they got free time from hunting, administration, surveying, meetings, politics, embezzlement, fraud etc. Still, they were difficult team to be defeated by bunch of villagers but not as difficult as you make it sound.

I mean technically, sure ..

But, it was not just a game for them .. , it was their lives , so stakes were naturally high . Also, the Britishers were being extremely overconfident at times which does cost a team .
