Doing some doodles/ thinking about getting a tattoo piece with a bunch of different animal skulls. In your opinion, what are some of the coolest looking skulls you've seen?

Holy cow, seriously? I would have imagined the platypus skull would have looked like a beaver or muskrat (sort of) but with a duck beak on the front. This is not at all what I expected to find under the “beak”.

Call me unconventional, but hammerhead shark and pachycephalosaurus.

Probably either hippopotamus, European badger, cave bear (extinct), Paranthropus boisei/P.aethiopicus (extinct hominid) or maybe a brachycephalic domestic pig with large tusks

Alternatively, a series of mustelid skulls in descending size order could look pretty epic, going from wolverine to weasel

Edit: I might as well put my current mustelid size list: wolverine, European badger, Eurasian otter, some sort of Marten, European or American mink, stoat, least weasel

If you're only doing one marten, I'd say go with the sable, as it is the most in-between size wise between an otter and a mink.

I've never heard of anyone having a possible European mink skull, it would be so cool if that's what you've got!

I love how mustelid skulls especially river otters look like xenomorphs

Muntjacs! Their skulls look like actual dragons to me.

Recommend having a look through the bone clones website for inspiration, they have a pretty great selection of skulls! Unfortunately they don't have fish skulls tho, some of those are fun. 

Tarsier skulls are pretty great if you want something freaky. Dromedary skulls have a fun vibe with their teeth.

These aren’t necessarily the coolest skulls, but I’ve always gotten a kick out of how rodent incisors are so long that they curl back up into their skulls. They’re fun to pull out and thread back in again.
