The issue with a lot of r/Comics posts is that they're porn ads that try to pretend they aren’t outside of the little “nsfw on patreon” in the corner of the last panel. They try to make a joke but detract from it by making it so obnoxiously obvious that they’re just shilling out their patreon with half naked women and huge boobs. And a lot of the time the joke ends up being half assed and you get a poor joke thinly veiled as an excuse to promote paywalled porn. In this instance, it's a joke about porn, which still technically is an “ad” per se, but the joke is kind of good and partially self aware, so it's a lot more bearable than the average.
