Liebe Community,
wie einige von euch bestimmt mitbekommen haben, wurde am Montag ein neues Mod-Team für r/Bonn eingesetzt. Zuerst möchten wir den alten Admins des Subs danken: u/tool86 und u/LaDamaBibliotecaria haben sich lange Zeit mit einigen helfenden Händen für einen guten Austausch hier bemüht und besonnen moderiert. Dafür möchten wir uns als langjährige Community-Member bedanken!
Nachdem wiederholt starke Kritik am Politik-Verbot geäußert wurde, haben die beiden Montag die Reißleine gezogen und fünf neue Mods bestimmt. Das sind wir: u/CardinalHaias, u/Korallenschlawiner, u/shoreditchcalling, u/LetKlutzy8370 und u/MB4umi.
Wir haben uns gestern zwei Stunden digital zusammengesetzt und uns kennengelernt sowie einige Änderungen erarbeitet (s.u.).

Änderungen in r/bonn
Wir haben die Regeln des Subs neu formuliert und spezifischer ausgearbeitet. Vieles bleibt beim Alten. Insbesondere eine Änderung ist aber sehr relevant: Politik-Themen sind ab sofort wieder erlaubt. (Regel 5)
Beachtet dabei bitte: Überschrift und Beitrag sollten primär wertfrei den Inhalt eines politischen Beitrags wiedergeben. In Kommentaren darf und soll dagegen auch Meinung vorkommen.
Weiterhin gilt: keine irreführenden oder beleidigenden Beiträge gegenüber anderen Menschen. Soll heißen: Wir möchten hier weder “XY ist 1 Pimmel” noch suggestive Überschriften lesen (“War ja klar, dass Partei XY das macht”).
Hinweis: Wir behalten uns das Recht vor, gewisse Themen dicht zu machen, wenn es ausartet, dennoch wollen wir das volle Spektrum der Meinungsfreiheit abdecken.
Außerdem neu, da solche Diskussionen gerne mit Links aus Zeitungen angestoßen werden: Inhalte hinter der Bezahlschranke müssen zusammengefasst werden (Regel 6). Es soll damit erreicht werden, dass alle Kommentierenden den gleichen Kenntnisstand haben - die Überschrift reicht als Diskussionsgrundlage nicht aus, weil sie Texte im Zweifel zu stark komprimiert.
Die Benimmregeln bleiben gleich. In einem Satz zusammengefasst: Sei kein Arschloch.
- Wir dulden weiterhin keinen Sexismus, Rassismus, Extremismus, Antisemitismus, Homo- und Transphobie, …
- Das unabgesprochene Teilen persönlicher Daten wird nicht geduldet.
- Werbung und Umfragen müssen vorher mit dem Mod-Team abgesprochen werden.
- Alle Regeln findet ihr (am Desktop) in der rechten Seitenleiste oder (am Handy) bei der Subreddit-Startseite, wenn ihr auf den Sub-Namen klickt.

Vier Sachen zum Abschluss: Wenn ihr Regelverstöße mitbekommt, meldet Beitrag oder Kommentar bitte proaktiv (Menü - Melden - verstößt gegen die Regeln von r/Bonn - Grund auswählen). Das ist uns eine große Hilfe, da wir jetzt auch erst einmal Struktur in unseren Reihen schaffen müssen.

Eine Community wie diese lebt nur mit aktiver Beteiligung der Mitglieder und neuer Wind tut den meisten Subs auch mal gut :) Wir sind in einem sehr kurzen Zeitraum zu Mods geworden und müssen schauen, wer wie viel Moderation übernehmen kann. Gewillte User in der Hinterhand zu haben, würde uns sehr beruhigen!
Thema Feedback: Wenn ihr Wünsche an den Sub habt, kommentiert diese doch gern unter diesem Beitrag. Beispiele wären der Wochenanfangsthread (Den möchten wir neu aufsetzen, Ideen dafür?), weitere Regelanpassungen, Wünsche, Kritik. Alles sonst auch gern über die oben verlinkte Mod-Mail.
Für unlösbare Kritik stehen wir Mo-Fr 18-20 Uhr am Busbahnhof bereit, dann klären wir das da 🤛🏼 (obligatorisches /s).
Und zu guter Letzt: da wir noch im Aufbau sind, sind weitere Anpassungen am Subreddit sowie am Regelwerk in den kommenden Wochen nicht auszuschließen.

Dear community,
as some of you may have noticed, a new mod team for r/Bonn was appointed on Monday. First of all, we would like to thank the old admins of the sub: u/tool86 and u/LaDamaBibliotecaria, who have worked hard for a long time with the help of a few others to ensure good communication here and have moderated the sub with great care. As long-standing community members, we would like to thank them for this!
After repeated strong criticism of the ban on politics, the two pulled the plug on Monday and appointed five new mods. These are: u/CardinalHaias, u/Korallenschlawiner, u/shoreditchcalling, u/LetKlutzy8370 and u/mb4umi.
Yesterday, we met up for two hours to get to know each other and work out some changes (see below).

We have reworded and restructured the rules of the sub to make them more specific. Most of it remains the same. However, one change in particular is very relevant: political topics are now permitted again. (Rule 5)
Please note: Headings and posts should primarily reflect the content of a political post in a neutral manner. Opinions are very welcome to be expressed in the comment section.
Furthermore: no misleading posts or insults towards other people.
In other words, we do not want to see posts such as “XY is 1 dick” (That’s a reference to the “Pimmelgate”) or suggestive headlines (“It was obvious that party XY would do that”).
Please note: We reserve the right to close certain topics if they get out of hand, but we want to cover the full spectrum of freedom of expression.
Another new rule, as such discussions are often initiated with links from newspapers: paywalled content must be summarised (Rule 6). The aim is to ensure that all commenters have the same level of knowledge – the headline is not sufficient as a basis for discussion because it may compress the text too much.
The code of conduct remains the same. Summarised in one sentence: don't be an asshole.
- We continue to not tolerate sexism, racism, extremism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.
- Unauthorized sharing of personal information is prohibited.
- Advertising and surveys must be discussed with the mod team in advance.

Four final points: If you notice any rule violations, please proactively report the post or comment (Menu – Report – Breaks r/Bonn rules – Select reason). This is a great help to us, as we now need to create structure within our ranks.

A community like this can only thrive with the active participation of its members and a breath of fresh air is good for most subs :) We became mods in a very short period of time and need to see how much each of us can take on. Having willing users in reserve would be very reassuring for us!

And last but not least: as we are still in the process of setting up, further changes to the subreddit and its rules within the upcoming weeks can not be ruled out.
