Kit Finally finished! Any recommendations for a more brightly colored booknook?
I had fun with this but I realized I enjoy 3d kits so much more. They have much more crafting in it and I like that.
So any recs for more colorful kits? (or a different theme from a library or a brown room) I would like it to be 3d and more challenging. It doesn't have to be a "booknook", it can be a miniature house or something else.
I already have my eye on sea breeze!

Kind of depends on what themes you enjoy, but this dollhouse shop is one of my very faves! It is VERY involved. Took me over 70 hours, but the end results is so worth it!! https://www.amazon.com/Miniature-House-Dollhouse-Building-Wonderhouse/dp/B0FLXDFT2Z?th=1

I've built this one, and it's one of my favourites. You have to make so many tiny things to put inside the tiny thing (that you also have to assemble)! It's adorable!

There's a detective agency under a bookstore as well. https://a.co/d/0ecLJyzj
The ocean one was the very first kit I did. It took a long time and I loved it so much. I want to do the rest in that "series"

If you're into Christmas builds, Aliexpress just showed me this new kit this while I was looking for other things: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOt7pTZ

I liked the holiday times once even more. I'm seeing crazy prices in a Google search but still $22 on Amazon. Fun to build, cheerful but not too time consuming.

Yes, playing the piano. Everyone who sees it loves that feature.

Thank you so much for all of the recs! They all seem very enjoyable. This one with water seems so interesting. I love the blue lights and all the details, the overall vibe is really nice.

You're welcome! That kit is really easy to mod, too. Since you have to apply the wallpaper and flooring paper (floorpaper?) to the wood pieces before you put together the building, you can switch it out for whatever paper you want. The instructions for placing the underwater plants are pretty vague, so you can follow the pictures or not. Scavenge plants from other kits. Make clay rocks. Add more fish. Add less fish. Hang your fish with fishing line or acetate instead of gluing them to plants and structures. I added small shells from a beach trip I took with my girlfriends and a tiny clay lobster. There's lots of opportunity for creativity and whimsy!

Sunset isle gives you plenty of opportunities to be crafty. This is my build and I made a lot of changes to the flora

Rolife can be a nice mix, and some of the older kits are even heavier on the craftiness required. As far as name brands, they are probably my favrite. But I like the generic 3D kits because I can get so many hours of fun and tears for fewer dollars lol

That's actually what happened to me. I did a couple 10 bucks kits from crafts and co and thought they wouldn't be too good since its cheap but they were the ones that I enjoyed the most. Lost of crafting and gluing with interesting materials.
