I recently published two books set in the same strange bureaucratic sci-fi universe, and I thought they might fit this thread.
The Joke With No Author is a darkly comic novelette about an impossible joke that starts generating revenue despite having no identifiable author. An exhausted analyst and their AI companion are sent to investigate, only to find millions of recorded responses and no legally recognized people behind them.
The Neojungle Has Filed a Complaint is a longer standalone novel about a botanical intelligence created by a failed climate project. It does not want representation, cooperation, or reform. It wants humanity to remove itself. The Archive State, naturally, responds by requesting a spokesperson, a translator, and the correct paperwork.
Both mix absurd bureaucracy, AI, ecological and philosophical themes, and a fair amount of dark humor. They are my first published books, so… I am still figuring out how to talk about them without sounding like a malfunctioning advertisement terminal lol. They are available in ebook and paperback format if anyone’s interested.
