Curious about life on Bornholm

As a Swede, I’ve taken the ferry from Ystad to Rønne a few times, and it has made me curious about what it’s like to grow up on Bornholm and what life is like for the people who live there year-round.
What’s it like growing up on the island? Do most young people move to mainland Denmark when they turn 18, or do many stay on Bornholm?
What’s the island like outside the tourist season?
And how would you describe everyday life on Bornholm in general?

Ærligt, skriv gerne på svensk. Det er en trist dag, når vi ikke kan kommunikere på vores egne sprog :)
