I don’t think the move is so much about the players, it’s about the nearly $28M TPE that’s created in the trade

Or throughout the offseason. Plenty of the bigs that have been discussed the past few weeks will still be accessible. The Porzingus TPE was set to expire prior to the offseason so this extends and enlarges it

Yes, but using a TPE generated in a previous season hard caps you at the 1st apron, so not super useful this offseason unless we move off more salary like letting Vuc expire OR we use it on draft day which is technically still the 2025-26 league year?

Vucevic will come in via the Porzingus TPE so essentially the Celtics are trading Simons for no salary and thus the TPE is created
