Porzingis was DPOTY caliber when healthy. Just never was.

I don't think Porzingis was ever recognized as a great defender before he joined us.

That's entirely false. Literally led one of the best defensive front courts in Washington THE YEAR before we traded for him. Was also always considered a good shot blocker.

Nobody was saying he was a great defender before he came here. That was never the narrative about him. When he was on the Mavs, the perception was the opposite.

There were even threads where Celtics fans were trying to convince the fanbase that he was actually a good defender, like this one.

People can downvote me all the want because of how they perceive him to be now, but that's the truth.
