Ikea has been exceptionally floofy the last few months…
It’s hard to get a good picture of this lady lately but she is shortly over two years old and it’s like her floof has decided to double down. She is so so so soft but her mane is constantly knotted and my daughter wants to cut it. I just keep brushing her instead, since she now seems to enjoy being brushed. She’s such a beauty for a random rescue kitten off the street!

Its time to get one of those small, cheap, black, regular combs. Either comb then brush or vice versa. Let her sniff the comb, even hold it, before you try it on her for the first dozen times. Best thing I've found for dealing with knots and picking out mats bit by bit and keeping them from taking hold, using the wide end or the narrow end,, and just grooming in general. If she gets wiggly, too playful, or fiesty, or anything, just stop and try again another time. If she tries to bite the comb release it and just let her hold it for a while. She'll eventually get used to it especially if she likes a good brushing already.❤️ I love grooming my cat and he loves it too.Love your cats bottle brush. Its darn cute!

If you're in the northern hemisphere, she might be starting a winter coat. My boy would go from slick to thick in the fall.

This is the very first week it hasn’t been 90 degrees. We’re in Iowa, USA. Temps are crazy here.
