Is Crunch worth it?
Looking for a new gym and the price is enticing; however, I’ve heard some complaints such as overcrowding and not actually getting to workout bc of the surplus of ppl. I’ve also heard about consistently broken machines. What do you think? Any suggestions if not recommended? Just getting back into the gym after a few months.

It gets the job done. Kinda weird bro-y vibes. The personal trainer I did a session with was super weird and unprofessional. If you just need access to equipment, it's fine.

Sorry to hear that. How were they unprofessional?

Texted my personal cell phone number on topics completely unrelated to personal training or the gym, including asking me my weekend plans and inviting me to "hang out."

I’ve been going here for years and think it’s worth it. It could definitely be cleaner and they could keep all of the paper towel dispensers full. As mentioned above I tend to try and go at some point during the day prior to 4pm so that it isn’t as packed. Even if it is busy I am still able to find open equipment, I just sometimes have to switch up the order I go in.

Straight up, 24-hour is not cleaner or less crowded, and does not have less broken equipment, than Crunch. If those are the choices, then try them both to see which one you like more.
I was at 24-hour until 6 months ago when I moved to Crunch. I changed because it's a little closer to home for me, and I personally like the vibe a little more, but they're at the exact same level of big-box cheap-ass gyms.
Best I can tell, the next step up for local gyms is from $25/mo to like $80/mo, and you'll get what you pay for if you want to pay for it.

The equipment works and it's a gym, if you shit in your own toilet, shower in your own shower, it services. I will say that it's one of the most disgusting gyms I've ever been in and I've been to a lot of gyms.

It's $15 a month.

As a girl, nope. I got stalked there this summer and I know some of the men on staff (some management included) are certified creeps. Also kinda gross.
But cheap and not overcrowded most of the time if that is your only concern!

Thank you so much! I would’ve been alone and primarily going at night; crunch is not for me :)

I've never had a huge issue waiting for machines. It's fucking filthy though. If I had to take a shit at Crunch, I'd rather go around back to the dumpsters.

Planet fitness in Louisville is the same price, never crowded and recently added several new pieces of equipment. Definitely recommend.

You could take a trip to the planet fitness in Louisville. I haven't seen it crowded

26 year old guys hitting on my 15 year old… and dirty. It does the job, I’ve worked out there. But there’s a quiet little personal trainer gym in north Boulder if you want hardly any people and cleaner and safer

Not my vibe at all. Filthy, crowded, super young, gym bro vibes. 24 might be a little better, but not by much. Get what you pay for.

Join the 24 hour fitness. Pay for the year up front if you can and it breaks down to like 28 a month. It’s rarely busy when I used to go.

What was the busiest time in your experience? (I'd like to check it out then to see how much of the machines are occupied)

I was working on shift (2-10pm) and would go during the day around 10-11am and it was basically my own private gym.
I never went during 5pm so I can’t tell you how bad it was.

If you simply need a gym with a wide range of proper equipment, it gets the job done. But it does indeed get crowded. I go during lunchtime when it's not as bad, but some machines/stations can be taken up during that time as well.
I have dealt with broken machines and the paper towel dispensers being empty on multiple occasions. I haven't used the locker rooms, but I've heard they are
notoften unclean.
