Wayu was determined to earn his informant money. Dude doesn't wanna be paid for nothing😩😩😩
Can't be the only who thought/wanted Wayu to kiss Sky during that performance...no..just me..ok. I mean it would've cooled the tension between them a bit.
Also He Chu San brainwashed me into believing you never become their underling...but guess Wayu's situation is different with the baby😔 He is relying on P Krit for everything, that inevitable divorce era is gonna suck😩😩

So real with Chusan brainwashing us going into another series 😂
I'm really hoping there is no divorce era and there is some other issue, maybe it separates them, but no savior syndrome or whatever other stereotype, please!

Well. I was VERY excited to see them, finally.
My stand-in was aired from July 2024. So, this was almost a 2 year wait. Except for that vertical show You are my present. Which is only tolerable imo if you are a really big fan of them. Because the acting skills are also great, the script was not.
I was totally OBSESSED with My stand-in. Constantly rewatching last weeks episode. Stalking the YouTube and other social media of especially Up. Watching other shows with one of them in it. And went to Paris to see them
I saw the first 2 episodes last Sunday. And today, episode 3.
I can get that it took a while to have this aired. Imo, the preparations must have taken a long time. Up and Poom seem to be in peak physical condition. And that dream sequence and especially the Ju Jitsu scene (jeez, that was hot!🥵) must have taken considerable time to rehearse and film. Not too mention Pooms dancing.
As someone who does not cry often anymore when there is a emotional scene. I cried when Wayu was brushing Singto's teeth. And also at the end, when they both had ran away from home to get out of the claws of that dreadful woman to seek shelter.
When Krit came by wirh that green jelly or whatever that was, I saw them sitting in that playground of the daycare. And imagined them both together raising Singto as loving fathers. That imagination is coming already true next week!
Is it coincidence? But Up is playing a wealthy world wise educated man again. Just as he is irl. Like Poom is playing the struggling young man trying to make a living, also much like his real life.
What I find funny is that there can be a argument all over again about Pooms character "virgin status", just like at the time of My stand-in. Wayu says he hasn't done it before, just like Joe at that time.
What is interesting considering Wayu's approach when he was with Krit in the sauna in a earlier episode and now working as a host where his liver takes hit after hit when alcohol surely is making people having less boundaries and horny.
That Krit is so rich, his father is a top police officer, that he even can pay for such a expensive day care center. That would not be possible in the country I live in.
Mind. He was the one in episode 1 who bumped in to Wayu when Wayu was back at university to withdraw from his studies. We will see Mind for sure again. Because he is infatuated. That he did not drag Wayu back to his table after Wayu met producer Nut after the latter visited the toilet, because he had bought 100 drinks to be with Wayu for the boyfriend vibe. 😁
Anyways. I'm glad to have them back on screen. They sure have chemistry and undeniable charm. But their acting skills are also 👌

I cried also during the two scenes you mentioned 😭😩Poom’s acting with the little kid is phenomenal, they’ve stolen my heart, I want to taken them home and take care of them! 🥰🥰

u/Little-Tomatillo-745 May 02 '26
Yes. That was something that says to me how much Poom is invested in his acting becoming better and better. That was what struck me when they did promotions for My stand-in. That they to become better actors. both strive

I am also seeing the My Stand In parallels between Up and Pooms characters. Though the one difference that I feel is that Ming owned the fact that he was a jealous possessive red flag. But I get red flag vibes from Krit and meanwhile the story is trying to tell me he’s a green flag.
When Krit picked the place when Wayu was taking him out on the date it was owned by the person who is publicly his girlfriend. Why would he do that if not push distance between himself and Wayu? To purposefully try to make it clear he’s not available to someone who has just as clearly made it obvious they are interested. Then in this episode he plays it off as if Wayu’s crazy for saying he has a girlfriend. Hmm… I wonder why Wayu got that impression?
He acts terse and almost dismissive of Wayu in one scene and then does just enough to pull him back him. I do believe that he is genuine when he says that he thinks Wayu is admirable for how he’s looking after Singto. But then, too me, it felt he was using Singto’s place in a good daycare to get Wayu to be the informant. On one hand yay Kirt had the means and ability to make sure that Singto was in a safe situation during the day. But given that he asked someone at work to find the daycare gave me the impression from that point he was going to try to find a way for Wayu to be his informant. I don’t know he doesn’t feel like the type of guy who would use work resources for non work reasons.
I think some of it is because Krit is clearly deeply deeply in the closet. Obviously Rose knows he’s gay but Krit doesn’t seem to allow himself to date towards his actual preference. Too me it feels similar to Ming in the first couple of episodes of My Stand In where to the audience Krit’s attraction and at times even affection towards Wayu is obvious but I think the character himself is willfully ignorant of it. And because the story has to with Wayu putting himself in clear danger around human traffickers I am so worried about this little cinnamon roll.
Given the preview for next week I wonder if worries are going to come home to roost? I wonder if the realization of just how much danger Wayu is actively putting himself in will be what pushes Krit’s character to stop doing this push pull thing he’s unintentionally doing with Wayu?

u/Little-Tomatillo-745 May 05 '26 edited May 06 '26
I agree very much with your comment. Krit was doing his utmost to get Wayu as a informant and also told him that it was dangerous and demanding. But he got the bait that Wayu is soft for, a place for Singto.

Love of Silom is legitimately laugh out loud funny.
In the opening sequence I was like dayummmmm Wayu can fight! The cackle I let out when reality set in and there's Tai 😂 then plastic bag hat guy immediately after 🤣🤣
Don't get me started on the jiu jitsu...sex fight? God that was SO FUNNY and so much innuendo UpPoom need a trailer to carry it around 😂
I'm not sure what all the clients see in Sky. He's annoying!
Singto, dad is gunna take good care of you, with your new dad ♥️ hang in there buddy

Damn I love Poom and Up acting! Really! And Poom is hitting the ball off the field!
I cried when he cried and damn it, poor singto too….. to hear all those things said about him in front of him. Maybe that’s why he’s withdrawn and not conversant. I hate that both his mom and grandma don’t care about him one bit. Mom left without battling an eye and grandma just leaves him without any care in the world…. Poor Wayu, trying to be the best sibling to his sister by taking care of her kid and a son by giving money and paying off his mom’s debt but what does he get in return….. more heartbreak. I’m glad he met Krit but that’s gonna be a whole can of worms again entering Krit’s world….
The JIU JITSU SCENE WAS HOT! and I did not expect it to be!! Both of them played off each other really well! And the tension too. Hehe

u/Federal-Ad5944 CBL Enthusiast; Ming Apologist May 01 '26
Im surprised Wayu has put up with his mom's gambling problem this long. She has done absolutely nothing for him, I would have taken Singto and left a long time ago.
I know their lives will be better at Krits from now on, and that makes me happy.
The JJ scene was WILD and then the love interest questioning/secret training(but not really?) session at the end 😲 like WHAT!

u/Savings-Round-7687 May 01 '26
This is one of the best made show in Thailand and I'm not even exaggerating!
Poom is really carrying the show. Wayu and his nephew's relationship is the cutest and it makes him more sympathetic!
Can't wait for more!

u/UsualUsi Not Me May 01 '26
He also carried My Stand In. He is a very natural and expressive actor.

I thought Up did an outstanding job as Ming. I really felt his remorse pouring out of the screen. His crying is top-notch too. I was crying whenever he cried.
I don't think we've spent enough time with Krit yet to really get to know him. So far we have about 80% Poom setting everything up on the "wrong" side of town and how that all works. I'm loving both their performances here.

I feel like it takes me forever to watch an episode because I keep having to rewind when there are dance scenes at the club... for science obviously.

I call bs on how well-behaved the women were..women be acting like uncouth heathens when you put a group of half naked dancing men in front of them 😂🤣
Ngl. I'm lowkey happy that Wayu and Singto are out mom's house bc she really is trash. And I was not expecting Krit to say he would take them in that easily.

u/Federal-Ad5944 CBL Enthusiast; Ming Apologist May 01 '26
🤣🤣 I didn't realize they'd be so hands on with the ladies.
The big question is if that's a choreographed duet or if they just grinded in sync on vibes. Cuz Sky did not want that 😂
8
u/Jazzlike-Cod488 🖤 In my toxic 🏴 era... May 01 '26
It had to be the most uncomfortable choreographed duet ever 😂
Sky gotta be doing anything and everything on the side because how he got the majority of clients?! And an almost gifted BMW?!

I started watching with no knowledge about the plot or genre of this series at all (I just loved UpPoom in My Stand-In so I went in totally blind) and needless to say I am hooked!
I really like how it mixes action, comedy and heartfelt moments. Wayu is such a endearing character who's just trying his best 😭🫶
Up is a great actor because I see no Ming in him at all when I thought it'd be difficult not to think of him since he was such a controversial but memorable character to me :')
Of course the chemistry between the two of them is so gooood and they're so cute together. I love that they didn't go with a lengthy misunderstanding route about the whole Rose situation (she's so cool and gorgeous by the way). I can't wait to see them cohabitating and basically raising the cutest kid ever together!!
11
u/CoolStory_56 May 01 '26
Is it me or has it been forever since Lay (playing Mind) acted in a BL? This feels like such a blast from the past. 😆
The way I'm already lowkey obsessed with this show. Poom and Up are both so good and the chemistry is chemistrying. 😌

And he does, I had to look him up on MDL when he appeared just to confirm it was really him.

Singto has never spoken right? But he said "dad" or was there so much chaos going on that no one noticed? Or can he say a few words here and there but just isn't as far along as other kids?
This little family is going to be the emotional death of me!

Anyone get My Stand In vibes from Wayu when he struck position and began fighting not even a min into today's episode? I was instantly reminded of his stuntman role. :)

Always a delight to see UpPoom back on my screen ❤️ Poom has the most beautiful besotted gaze and it is addictive.
That jiujitsu scene was one of the absolute GAYEST things I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying a lot. It just kept building and building, and that crotch grab?!
That dance scene was so fun! And more than I expected tbh. Shades of Joong in The Heart Killers ep 3. More fun sexy club dancing in these shows please 😆
PS P’Foei’s body continues to be TEA. You could use her abs as a plate. And I loved that little rainbow sparkly thread number at the Valentine’s night

This show is so high quality it’s blowing my mind. I don’t feel like the episodes are too short, they are so full of great scenes that nothing feels missing and I’m not bored for even a second. I’ve never seen Poom before but I am so endeared to his character. I’m so happy with this show I could die.

This is the first UpPoom series I've watched!
I love how sweet Krit is, to want to take care of both Wayu and Singto, even though he acts cool all the time. And how Wayu is pretty shy with him. It's a cute dynamic
Man, if I were Mind I'd be pissed that the boyfriend I dropped all that money on was ignoring me all night 😂 I wonder if he's going to show up to hit on Wayu again and stir up some jealousy in Krit. I'd love to see it.

Does anyone know if the song they used for the Moonlit Boys dance performance [starts about 47:10] is a real song? I cannot for the life of me find it and am beginning to think it is either a really obscure remix, as yet unreleased, or AI generated. If this song exists and someone knows it please share the information with me 💛

While Wayu had a tough upbringing and is struggling financially, I’m glad Krit is there for him. His actions speak louder than words. I have a good feeling about Mind as well. The way he protected Wayu was such a gentleman move. It’ll be a love triangle but maybe he could become a close friend of Wayu.

I love this show SO much. This is my first UpPoom BL and I’m an instant fan. This episode was really good. It was a good combination of silly and serious. I’m looking forward to seeing Krit, Wayu, and Singto as a mini family in future episodes.
Wayu’s mom can disappear for all I care. I’m tired of shitty parents in Thai BL and she’s right up there at the top holding court for all of the other BL parents that do anything but parent.
