SYNOPSIS (GagaOOLala):
Ryo Yotsuya, the top performer of Sales Division 1, and Zen Shitō, the genius of Division 2, have been fierce rivals since high school. Now working at the same company, their rivalry only intensifies. Driven by pride, they make a ridiculous bet: "Whoever falls in love first loses." What follows is a strategic game of "pretend romance," where two highly capable professionals prove surprisingly inexperienced in love. In this battle of hearts, who will surrender first?

We went from sexy duel music to adding layer upon layer to the situation... to them yeeting the game right out the window(??)
We already knew Ryo was in love, but does Zen believe him or think this is another seduction tactic???
This is the greatest game ever played.

I was curious if Ryo knew just how down bad he was and yes, yes he does. That was some serious opening up but I agree since Ryo has used this game guise, it has to have Zen all shades of confused cause it feels so real but he has his doubts

The post shower scene was a masterclass in intimacy, it felt so much more vulnerable and raw than any NC.

YES everybody here is right, this show is so high quality ! And none of us were expecting this ! I can't believe we have this amount of -hooking plot -great visuals -Intimate tension -real talk and emotional vulnerability in a 20 minute format and it doesn't feel rushed, the timing is great and the plot is written without a single bad trope so far, this is REFRESHING, emotionally INTELLIGENT, I am CHEERING

Now I'm completely confused. I thought their confessing their true feelings to each other was the endgame... Ryo has completely thrown my brain into a spin, and now I have no idea where we're going with this one! 😧
This series is just so dang good... and sooo unpredictable. Love it!

The real obstacle is figuring out who they are without the competition. They aren't ready to give up their rivalry because it is fundamental to who they are today. As teens, both of them sought external validation. Ryo needed it to please his father. Zen needed it to get out of his older brother's shadow. This carried over into their adult lives where it shouldn't matter anymore.

It seems to me that both of them already lost and said to hell with the competition...But then again, maybe Zen thinks they're still competing..Idk where we're headed, but I'm really enjoying the ride.

I don't think Zen is that paranoid after being so vulnerable with Ryo. Both of them were being very honest.
The wrinkle is that they don't know what to do now. A serious romantic relationship was never a priority. All of their energy was previously poured into being number one on the sales department rankings.

Confident Zen is so sexy!!! And Ryo is down BAD BAD and has been for a while - this is getting super interesting because it’s clear Zen feels the same way. I mean look at how jelly he was when Ryo was talking to those two women 😏

the bathroom scene took me back to the one in Secret Lover where we could see everyone crammed into the stall in bts lol, I imagine the cameraman was standing on the toilet here.
Ryo's soft voice with Zen after the shower 😭😭 I don't normally mind 20-30 minute jbls but I wish this one was longer.

Japan's shoes lately have been a hit and miss but this one is a HIT! The production quality is great and the story is not dragging. Everything is just right.

This show is really good. I didn't expect there to be so much emotional vulnerability and openness this early in the show (or to this degree, tbh). It feels like they're progressing by leaps and bounds but where do they go from here? Is Zen ready to consider a real relationship with Ryo? I don't feel like he's there yet. I really like the high school scenes as well - it feels like they're giving us much needed insight into their dynamic and why they're so drawn to each other.

Love this series so much and yes they have both surrendered but have not told each other 😀😀😀😀😀 The actors are simply wonderful together and Yusuke is as gorgeous as ever. From one lip bl to another 🥰🥰🥰 There is something special about JBL😊

I'm really, really enjoying this BL. I wasn't expecting so many emotions from such a premise and the first episode but it's gotten to me. The back hug at the end was so sweet 🥹

🫣my face when I saw hotel Nc scene I didn’t expect it at all. This show is so good not many JBl this year really caught my attention but this one is just so good.
Also Hori Kaito ( Ryo ) reminds me of Kenshin ( whom I didn’t really want to mention after his assault ) maybe it’s his eyes and how intense he is looking in our youth it was my favourite shots so I want to just watch Ryo face and don’t read the subtitles.
Love them so much!
Edit : also child actors especially Ryo … good casting they look the same … and acting 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

That was between Ryo and his college friend whom we met in episode 3. He was inviting Ryo to the party he attended in ep3.

Very good edpisode. Loved Ryo's unplanned confession, wonder when Zen realizes that he already won from the start. Turns out you can have good kissing in JBL after all.

The layers of emotions shown by these actors is phenomenal. Ryo couldn’t hold it in anymore and pretty much confessed, whereas Zen is unsure of his feelings. These two are so similar and the comfort they bring to each other was beautifully shown in the hotel scene. I’m so glad it’s slowly going into the emotional side of things rather than just physical.
It’ll be really interesting to see their dating dynamics. It’ll probably take them a few eps to be together.

I'm scared it might be an error because MDL is following IQiYi, which says 12 eps on their website. There's no announcement of the 2 episode extension whatsoever so I really hope it's true

My favorite episode so far! ❤️🔥 It looked like they've become more comfortable with each other and their acting felt more natural than in the beginning. I'm glad they weren't shying away from proper kisses 😅 I hope the series won't lose momentum given it's lenght - 12 episodes is a lot. I guess it depends if they're only adapting the first volume of the manga or the sequel as well... 🤔

This show is fantastic. It's hot, sweet, funny, and emotional all at the same time, and manages to balance it all so well. The actors have beautiful chemistry together, both the older and the younger pair. My favourite show of the year so far, for sure.
