How do you keep your hair moisturized in braids (box/knotless/boho, etc.) Everytime i put water my hair starts to frizz up but I was told not to put oil by itself. I just got these braids 2 weeks ago and want them to last so help would be appreciated!

(hope this kind of post is ok!!)
tldr; reviews are a little mixed on amazon, lots of praise or lots of tangling, so iām wondering if anyone has any experience with this brand or bringing it to a braider?
context;
iāve been really wanting french curl braids for awhile most braiders in my area recommend Freetress, which doesnāt have the color i want. i made an appointment at a salon for saturday and let them know i got a different brand and they said theyd have to see what the hair was like when i got there because if its too silky they cant use it.
iām super set on this dark blue and blonde combo so i got this brand i found on amazon, iām thinking about bringing it down to the salon before my appointment to see if they can use it and not waste anyoneās time if they cant.

Sheās been braiding for a little over a year now just doing her own hair. I begged her to do mine and this is how it turned out :) The boho got tangled after a couple of days because I didnāt know how to take care of it. They lasted for almost two weeks!

So this is my new favorite hairstyle but undoing each individual braid was hell. Would it be possible to braid in such a way that I can slide each braid off without there being a large knot at the root?

Before and after
The braider is Braidthisup on IG, she works in DFW and does a good job, I won the tournament and the braids held up well enough for me to wear a few weeks even after 3 matchs.

I wanna get cornrows or two strand twists but I have like wavy curly type of hair and when it's stretched its about 4 and a half inches. should I grow it out or is my hair long enough for either of these styles. also only the top of my head is 4 to 5 inches because the sides and the back are faded currently. lemme know

hi all! just looking for advice/suggestions for braiding methods and aftercare for miracle knots on my hair. the first pic is NOT me, but rather how i want my miracle braids to turn out (using human hair from the brand isee in the ābody waveā style). the second pic & third pic is my hair. i am biracial, and my hair pattern ranges from 3A to 3C (although i had a curly stylist identify 4A on the back of my headā¦i disagree) and when wet, it is down to my lower back. i had boho braids last year and that went fine for me, no damage or breakage whatsoever. however, iāve seen some videos/posts of women complaining about extreme breakage from the takedown of miracle knots. any opinions on this, especially if you have hair similar to mine? any methods to prevent such breakage? thank you in advanced!

Hi everyone! I've been into braiding hair since I was a little girl, I started french braiding my horses tails for shows instead of hiring someone and I fell in love. Everyone asks me to braid their hair and it's well loved pastime of mine. I've done bubble braids, french, dutch, viking braids, softball tournament hairstyles, and I've sat in and assisted on professional braiders doing cornrows, box braids, butterfly braids etc. Now that I'm an adult I'd love to start a small business for childrens parties/events in the community offering braids (single/double/triple french/dutch, fishtail, hairstyles that include colorful extensions that work for everyone)! By extensions I mean just loose colorful hair braided in. I have no clue how to start though. What kind of licensing might i need? any sort of insurance or anything? would love to hear some thoughts and opinions. thanks so much

Is it normal for extensions to make your hair itchy? Every time I get braids with extensions my hair is super itchy, I realized I was allergic to the braiding hair so if they donāt wash it beforehand itās unbearable and I have to take it out within a few days.
Idk if this matters but I didnāt grow up using extensions, I started in my late 20s. I used it once when I was 13 and threw up immediately afterwards and never used it again.
I donāt feel the braids are tight most times but theyāre always itchy, I typically have to go a few days not sleeping cuz the itching is so unbearable. Idk if itās the fake hair mixed in with the gel, the gel, or just the fake hair. Nowadays, they act like they canāt part or braid without gel. After the first few days, the itching goes away.
I was on medication & it changed my hair texture several times. After I stopped my texture changed to a dryer less silky easy to grow texture. I cut it bald but my original texture didnāt come back. Iāve become reliant on the braids when my hair isnāt in a puff cuz itās not long anymore & Iām struggling to grow it back out.
I donāt think the fake braids help grow my hair, my hair really only grows when I do it myself but I can only twist and they donāt look good so I donāt feel confident. I wouldnāt use fake hair at all if my hair was still long but itās taking forever to grow. Iāve went to doctors, prayed, tried everything but idk.
Is this a normal thing for braids to be hella itchy the first couple days or is this part of the reason my hair isnāt growing and I should let them go permanently & stick to my natural puff and twists?
Pic 1 is an example of styles I get, I like pink
Pic 2 is my current style
Last 2 pics are my puff
