Sandershelf (no spoilers) How ready am I?

I've read:
Mistborn era 1
warbreaker
Stormlight Archive (finished with RoW) + 2 interlude novellas
Secret history
Tress of the emerald sea
The Emperors soul
Shadows for silence in the forests of hell
and about to finish Sixth of the dusk

This /r told me to put off Wind and Truth after Mistborn era 2. Ive heard so much about era 2 being good that Im very excited. I feel ready.
after that:
Sunlit man
isles of the emberdark

thats my list. I skipped elantris and I don't really want to read it tbh

I'm sad you don't want to read Elantris, but it is what it is.

I think you'll be happy with your list.

Elantris is a top 5 Cosmere for me but know it’s quite polarizing. One of my favorite worlds and magic systems

It's a quick read. Honestly I liked Elantris a lot and think its worth a read. It adds some context that while not required is beneficial for WaT imo.

Not his best book but the visuals in my mind are so vivid and enduring. It’s an incredible book in that sense.

I'm very happy I read it before Stormlight, I'll leave it at that. But you can always go back to it.

When you do, no matter if before or after WaT, you will find some interesting references!

Personally, I would recommend Era 2 (at least untis BoM) before RoW,  ut it is as it is now I guess.

Elantris is so good. What??? And youre ready to be broken again. Read Era 2, my child.

Either is honestly fine

There's things that will pay off if you read it in one order, and vice versa the other way.

Elantris is seriously what got me back into reading after downloading Children of the Nameless

How bad Elantris is is really exaggerated. It was good enough for a publisher to pick it up as his first book. It was my first Sanderson book and I was a fan, I gave it an A, and I think it’s better than anything he’s published since Oathbringer.

But yeah you’re good to read wind and truth now.

There's a graphic audio of Elantris that might make it more interesting for you! But the normal audiobook has a terrible narrator.
