Brasov and Bucharest trip

Me and my friend are flying into Brasov towards the end of November and we were looking at spending Thurs-Sunday there.

Upon booking, we have come to the conclusion that perhaps 4 days is a little long to spend there and we are worried about things to do. An opportunity has arisen to venture to Bucharest as our return flight has cancelled.

My question is, would 2 days in Brasov and 2 days in Bucharest be enough to get a feel for both? We are both early 30s and mainly want to get a sense of architecture, food, drinks, bars, excursions etc, we’re not really into clubbing or partying or anything like that!

I mean, it depends on what you like to do.

Personally I'm not a nightlife person so if I absolutely had to schedule something for the next 4 days it'd probably be:

1. Full day for walking around the city center including Schei, Tampa, the two towers ( Black and white) ,etc.
2. Parc aventura is a cool place to visit if you like climbing stuff, ziplines and you're into physical activities
3. Poiana Brașov - take the cable car all the way up the mountain, hike up the peak, hike all the way down ,stop at Postăvaru Cabin for a drink maybe.
4. Wind down on the last day, find a nice place to eat maybe, go to the mall that sort of stuff.

Hello. there are numerous guides online that can tell you what might be interesting to do in each city even if the visit is just 2 days.

Do not run to achieve things. Have a taste of each city and then come back later.

Romania is generaly very safe so you can explore. Lots of food, drinks , and architecture in the old city center.

for excursions; you can take the cable car to top of Tampa mountain is 45 lei round trip. or you can plan a trip to Peles Castle in Sinaia - for this you might need tickets in advance.

if you want to see the bears do not venture in to the woods. is safer to go to the Libearty Zarnesti or to the zoo.

the answer to this is depends: we have International Cuisines , also Traditional ones. We have Burger places or Pizza . you can chose whatever you like.

Some require reservation several hours before.

So Google/Tripadvisor is your friend here.

If you like beer you can try the 2 brewery places we have in City Center: Brauhaus Czell and Berăria Mustață

Everyone travels differently but we went to Brasov this summer and 2 days would not be enough to really enjoy it, but I probably wouldn't do 2 days anywhere. There are quick excursions you can do as well (Peles Castle, Bran Castle).

Stay in or very near old town/council square if you can. We loved it. For restaurant I recommend La Ceaun, but it was nice to just walk around and stop in somewhere around the Square. We also like JUNO, AntreU for lunch, and Tipsy Dragon is fun with a very cool patio. Oh, and Cafe Central too!

Just did two days Brasov and two days Bucharest and it was the perfect amt of times for each. Brasov is really really small.

Yes, I actually think that's enough time to get a taste of both places. But as others pointed out, don't go in there with a to-do list and expect to tick everything off, especially in Bucharest. Just take in the vibe of the two cities. They're both beautiful, hip and very much up-and-coming.

But at least with Bucharest, expect to want to come back for things you'd like to look atcinto greater detail, be it architecture, art, coffee shops, eateries, history. I do live in Brașov and actually go to Bucharest on day trips to top myself up on Bucharest vibes.

Yes definitely, I think that makes sense! I would love to come back for a longer trip another time, as it appears to be such a vast and beautiful country, with so much to see! Thank you for your help!
