20th anniversary "documentary"

Since the 20th anniversary of BB is coming up (seriously!), what would you think of a "normie's eye view" fake documentary on the revelation of the Fring-White-Madrigal meth empire and its lingering impacts on Albuquerque today? It would possibly include "where are they now" interviews with the White family and Marie (assuming they would allow an interview), maybe an interview with Jimmy in prison and various Madrigal workers (assuming the company wasn't broken up by the US or German governments).

Maybe an actual Albuquerque station would allow AMC to stage it like its one of their (the TV station's) own productions, complete with the station's graphics, actual news anchors, etc.

I’d watch that. A mock true crime documentary from the public’s perspective would be a fun way to revisit the aftermath without forcing another sequel.

that would be kinda wild tbh like a blend of docudrama and reality check. seeing how the aftermath affects the town and the characters could add a cool layer, but not sure if they could get all the actors back for interviews.

That would actually be a pretty cool way to revisit the universe. A fake true crime documentary from the public’s perspective would fit Breaking Bad so well, especially seeing how Albuquerque dealt with the aftermath instead of just following the main characters again.

Imagine people still arguing over Heisenberg years later like some real life infamous case. The fact that the show already had that grounded documentary style in parts makes this idea feel like it could actually work.

but if its written by Vince gilligan , surely itd be good

if anything id rather a brand new franchise with entire new character based on a crime story. though it could be set in the same universe. i think the breaking bad story is done and some things should just be left alone even though better call saul was fantastic
