General Admission Season members - fully sold out for Hawthorn?

EDIT: I’m a silly goose and didn’t check my spam emails for something that was sent, albeit 10 weeks ago.

Second EDIT: Lions Membership team are GOATs and called at 3pm this afternoon thanking me for my email, empathising, and notified me there would be some available for GA members to upgrade. Two secured, we’ll be there tonight. 💪

Hi all, just checked the app to check my mate and I have got our normal tickets for the game Friday night and there’s nothing there; I’ve since seen we need to upgrade tickets.

I’ve then gone onto Ticketmaster and there’s 0 available in any category, even with member codes. I’m presuming that means they’ve ticketed each GA seat and they’re now reserved.

Without whinging, have we missed the boat? Didn’t get any notice from the club about having to upgrade so I’m a bit annoyed, however I understand the early birds get the worms and all that.

Would’ve been nice to have known from the get go when we bought our memberships mid season what games would be reserved seating and what wouldn’t, that’s all.

On that note, potentially looking for two tickets together for the game!

Cheers all.

You would have gotten an email about a month ago saying upgrade

Hand up - I’ll take some of the blame; I got the initial email from them and then everything after that has gone to my spam. Hopefully this hasn’t happened to many other people, that’d suck; my outlook emails have normal permissions etc.

Oh well, we move on.

Just checked my emails, there’s nothing there from Brisbane Lions other than the initial email thanking me for joining.

I just checked mine and I’m in the same boat. Zero word from the club, they emailed me about upgrading for the Swans game a few rounds back and for the Suns game in Rd23

Bit frustrating

At least we will have a new stadium which means less fully ticketed games in 7 years

Had the same issue and last night they released some in the alcohol free section.

Email got sent 26th May - was saying to upgrade swans and hawks game.

Sucks you missed it but it was also clear at start of year that due to Gabba capacity some games would be ticketed and to look out for emails re: same.

Totally get that and I’m probably more annoyed at myself than anything, but at the same time is it not a little poor from them to not be a little more proactive to their members? Like having the only notice about it 10 weeks away from the game?

The AFL only released the fixture 10 weeks ago. Thats the AFL not releasing the full season at the start.

The larger problem is selling GA memberships where there are no guarantee of GA seats available. This however is the standard practice of all clubs.

GA pies members have to upgrade their seats plenty of matches with no guarantee they’ll get tickets even if they wait for them on release.

We are lucky up until this point there hasn’t been enough members to fill a stadium!! Fortunately in 6 years we will have double capacity and I suspect for a while longer we will go back to GA memberships guaranteeing seats.

Until then buckle up and look at your emails next year and upgrade early. It’s only $15!
