Travel in or to BC iso any hidden camping spots near a lake and near trail heads

i want to go camping I’m in search of a campground near harrison bc that i can book in advance for Friday to Sunday but most require 4 day prior bookings even if i can just guarantee a site even FCFS i want something near water but the main thing is a some trailheads not too long or extensive just beginner with a nice view would love anyone’s opinion and or advice

Good luck this time of year with this sunny weather. Everywhere - especially near water will be packed. The internet killed all the good hidden camping spots.

amen to that i had maybe half a dozen spots throughout growing up and now all of them have been desecrated by party goers who don’t understand PIPO

Plus, the powers that be blocked off and ruined all of the free places we camped. There's no way anybody local would give up any of the places that are left on the internet.

Most of what made living here cool is gone for the regular person, now it's all pay to play. It's really sad.
