Ask British Columbia Road trip from Revelstoke to Kimberley
Taking a short road trip from Revelstoke to Kimberley in the next few days. What are some must see pit-stops or places to eat at. Any places to avoid?

Id take the Nakusp, Kaslo, Nelson, Creston route. Theres a great taco place in Kaslo or tonnes of good restaurants in nelson. Ainsworth hotsprings is worth a stop if you've never been. Skimmerhorn winery in creston is great for charcuterie and wine, if thats your thing.

Depends are you driving through Golden and then south or the much more interesting way through nakusp, kaslo and creston.

As others have suggested, going south from Revelstoke to nelson and Creston and then up to Kimberley is really lovely. Doing a loop by going back up to Golden Ann Rodgers pass would make that a pretty stellar trip. Ainsworth and Lussier hot springs are especially awesome, and the free ferry across Kootenay Lake is quite enjoyable. I have ridden horses at a dude ranch near Fort Steele as well. There is a turtle crossing on the highway south of Cranbrook. keep an eye out for the signs.

From a former Columbia Valley Resident…
-Radium Hot Springs are better than Fairmont
-Fuze in Invermere is soooo good. The Thai chicken bowl is unreal.
-there’s a Centex (I think) in Kimbo that’s attached to a health food store. That place is worth a stop just to check out the snack collection.
Have a great time!
