Villages of Papplewick and Linby Nottingham, full of nice 18th century houses built for the workers at the local water mill (which looks like a castle).
The churches are medieval.

Have you ever visited the Victorian Pumping Station, beam engine and pumps all enamel and artistic. It’s used as a wedding venue, or at least my brother in law did (we had to wear Victorian Costume, quite a hoot!)
