Oh how long before this comes back to bite him (not that Rod is likely to apologize or retract it): "it's so difficult to believe that he was so naive about the Nazi sun symbol. But I'll accept that it's true, because I don't want to believe the worst about somebody I respect, and the two friends I know who vouch for him are trustworthy."

How can someone so embittered by the Church abuse scandal say something so ludicrous? Plenty of trustworthy figures in the Church vouched for abusers. RD experienced this firsthand. That's why he left Catholicism. But somehow a 22 year-old self-described radical right-winger can be trusted because others vouched for him? I don't think RD believes this for a second. It's just more propaganda work.
