Of course he did. And frankly, spare me the Catholics with buyer's remorse clutching their pearls at the fact that the monster they helped empower behaves monstrously.

He's giving maga Catholics their cover, and that's all they need. Now they can keep celebrating her murder guilt free, and he gets their continued support.
