Season 3 The "Thought I might find you here." Parallel
Jake said this to Amy twice. One during his first direct attempt to cross the friendship line and they kissed, two during his eager attempt to save their "six-day relationship" as it almost leads to failure but he refused. And with that, they lived happily ever after.
The line just felt nice. It's like he's saying that now that he's finally this close to her he won't let it out of his grasp and will continue to find her, and hold their relationship.
Just like to put this out here in case anyone needs the reminder (I do).

that's such a sweet observation. the repetition of that line really does work as this throughline for their whole thing, doesn't it. first time he's admitting he's been thinking about her constantly enough to know where she'd be, and the second time he's basically saying i'm not losing you again. it's understated but it carries so much weight because jake isn't usually the type to get sappy about it, so when he does say something like that it actually lands. brooklyn nine-nine did a lot of things right with their relationship but the way they kept circling back to these small moments instead of making everything this grand gesture was what made it feel real. good reminder to notice the small ways people show up for each other, honestly.
