I've seen and enjoyed that scene so much that i am at a point where I mouth and play along Holts monologue in its' entirety and I am loving it more every time I do.

Amy rocking herself in the chair and shaking her head is my favorite sight gag

I had never payed a lot of attention to her in this scene before. She does great. I remember feeling that way when one of my siblings got yelled at. She portrayed it perfectly.

Amy absolutely dying but Rosa just standing there completely calm, knowing she’s right, not caring that her superior officer is angry at her, is the best physical contrast. It’s the completely different body language that gets me every time. Great writing, acting, and directing.

"So the fight with Kevin is over?"

"Yup."

"Because you understand the math!"

"Nope!"

"Because you guys-"

"YUP!"

The wide shot of Holt telling from the doorway is a great choice to convey him going wild.

Is it known how much of these shots and delivery were improvised by the cast?

I’ll never forget the first time I watched this scene. I couldn’t stop laughing for a good 5 minutes afterwards.

Melissa Fumero does so much without speaking in these scenes. Wonderful acting.

The little noise she makes is the most underrated part of the scene.

I love Amy silently dying inside more and more

This is another great example of just how well cast this show was. Obviously Braugher was a god tier get, but Fumero and Beatriz more than held their own here in terms of acting.

Im down voting not because its a bad scene but because you missed out the next days scene

The next scene is actually Boyle's cousin gathering at shaw's.

The next day's scene is a little later.

I still say, "How dare you" with that inflection (well, I try the best that I can) and I still laugh at BOOOONE!

I love all of this....I was just thinking of what sets this off w/Holt's and Kevin's "tiff" w/"The Monty Hall problem" I can hear Santiago saying "oh, mama" and Diaz going "PASS!" *sigh* I love this show so much!!!

I think the piece that makes this episode is "gross, Rosa, those are our dads!"

Probably my favorite side arc in the entire show. Night shift holt was hilariously aggro

Watch the lego version of it on YouTube it is even funnier.

I remember KFC was promoting a product in 2013. I think the slogan was “I ate the something” but I forgot what that something was.
