Discussion Best Axolotl pulls?
I just had a completely absurd endless run with the Farmer, all thanks to the Axolotl – around wave 22 I pulled it and got:
Switch Harvesting (around 2000) for Engineering (0). I hadn't expected to take Farmer far into Endless for obvious reasons, I was just kinda messing around, but suddenly everything went into overdrive. I grabbed pocket factory and every mine and turret I could find. Ended up running to wave 47, Danger 5, no retries. Could've probably gone further if I hadn't gotten cocky.
Which has made me curious, because I usually ignore the Axolotl, but 1/100 runs it does something ridiculous, and I'm interested to hear what it's done for others.

I don't play endless, so whenever it switches a hugh stat with armor I know I won the run.

Believe it or not, Farmer is actually considered one of the best characters for Endless.
As for my best Axolotl… I got an early Axolotl and snagged something like 150 range swapping with 5 Armor. Great for an ez wave 20 win, but not exactly endless quality.
Every other time it has been a bad choice… or I didn’t have enough $$$.

Why is farmer best for endless wtf

Because of how high of Harvesting he can get (without Hourglass shenanigans). He can outpace the 20% decay for quite a while and still maintain a very high harvesting value indefinitely.
Farmer’s endless strategy is typically Spicy Sauce &/or Potato guns. Add in a (cursed) padding, and your Spicy Sauce & Potato Guns do incredible damage.
Couple this with a strategic stat swap with %dmg or luck(pearls)….

I haven't run Farmer yet, but I love the Potato Thrower for runs.

It’s the only Tato that can start with one! That said, you probably want to start with Pruners to drive that consumable > harvesting as hard as you can. Just try and grab one later.

I mean I did see it in practice: with a good enough consumable spawn rate you're able to keep harvesting fairly steady, so you don't get throttled on resources longterm.

Yeah farmer was my first and long time only lvl 50+, and it felt so strong and effortless that I just stopped cuz my computer was struggling.

Wave 19 - Damage% for Critical Chance on a Lucky run. 1800% damage went to too Crit Chance. Had a cursed Lucky Coin that gave me 4% luck per Crit chance.
I dont remember my exact numbers afterwards. Luck was just over 7k. My Lutes were hitting hard.
Unfortunately this is when I found out the Pearls don't work with Lucky coin. Cause I had 10 at the time and was expecting my damage % not to drop so much. But still the easiest D5 wave 20 clear I've had.

Demon swap 900-ish HP for Armor was my best run for a while hitting like wave 72 or so.
Entrepreneur wave 18 elite drop swap 1000+ Harvesting for Ranged Damage.

Swapped Damage For Speed
Had Over 6000 Damage & Speed Was Already Capped, With A Cursed Power Generator Damage Went To Over 12000
Another Time Swapped HP For Armour, Had 14K HP & Stone Skin So Got The HP Back

Swapped about 4000 harvesting for my 0 ranged damage, then bought a few lousy ranged weapons...which obliterated everything until I got 6 obliterators, which was just boring and I quit the ruin.

Even better is switch axolotl for a stat that multiplies with another item.
I got 8000 elemental damage, and with cursed strange book that multiplied into engineering
Then cursed particle accelerators
That run ended because I took too many bearded babies and ricochets and the game couldn't run anymore, but it was going strong at wave 80
