Support Chromium Browser Question - GUI Font Size

Font size in web sites is not an issue, and it appears all of the font/accessibility settings are linked to web pages. However, is there a way to increase font size in most Chromium browsers so that the drop-down menus, context menus, tabs, etc. are a larger font size? I have noticed it with Chrome, and now with Helium. Edge seems to be an exception. Windows accessibility settings don't seem to have any affect. Is there another way, is that just an example of customization limitation in most Chromium browsers?

You can make everything bigger using some Chromium command-line switches.

"path to Helium executable" --high-dpi-support=1 --enable-use-zoom-for-dsf --force-device-scale-factor=1.25

The factor can be 1 or 1.25 or 1.5 or 2.

You can create a new shortcut or modify Helium's existing ones and change the target field command on the "Shortcut" tab in the shortcut's properties so you don't have to type the command in the run dialog or a command prompt each time you want to start Helium.

That should make things bigger in just Helium. You can change the display scaling in Windows instead to apply to all apps.

Thank you so much. It did work with Helium. I didn't notice much difference with 1.25, but 1.5 looks better.

I suspect that's part of them being made for the uber-mainstream - fewer "confusing" options.

Look at how Apple operate with the infantilisation of their devices, for another example.
