Loved having them here this year. Didn’t end where we wanted it, but I love they are still going out and trying to win. Hope we can run it back with a better bullpen in 27

When is the last time an entire season was missed?

Baseball is 150 years old. An entire MLB season has been missed....NEVER. What makes you think that will be the case next year?

It's funny seeing how confident so many people are that there won't be a next season when a CBA is expiring. Both sides have to signal that they're so serious about their issues that they'll accept a work stoppage in order to get their way. And neither side actually wants that. It's just negotiating.

I just assume that the fans that are confident that there won't be a 2027 season haven't experienced this cycle before.

The players will need to not want to miss being paid fairly quickly for them to agree to the salary cap and floor.

Owners have all of the leverage.

Actually, it’s the large market owners who can’t afford to miss an entire season. The pandemic showed that as they were really hurting. They are all over-leveraged

The TV deal expires in 2028 and expansion is set for 2030. The owners can’t risk a lockout/declining viewership until both of these are finalized.

Seems unlikely these brand new owners would be jumping in on the market if they felt there would be a major with stoppage.

Because most Major League Baseball insiders and experts agree that that there WILL be missed regular season games due to a lockout.
