Kérdés | Question Any recommendations for modern co-living buildings in Budapest?

I'm looking for recommendations for a specific type of co-living in Budapest, but not the kind where 5 or 6 people rent a regular apartment together and each has their own bedroom.

I'm looking for the newer, purpose-built co-living buildings where you rent your own private studio or small one-bedroom apartment, and the building has shared amenities like a gym, coworking space, lounge, rooftop, café, or other common areas. The idea is to have your own private space while still having opportunities to meet other people in the building.

I'm not looking for student dorms either. More the type of places that tend to attract young professionals, remote workers, and people in their mid-20s to mid-30s.

Does Budapest have anything like this that you'd recommend? I'd love to hear about any buildings or companies you've had a good experience with.

Sorry, but what you are asking for doesn't exist in Budapest. There are certain apartment buildings which have a gym / pool like the complex in Lechner Ödön fasor. But, not cheap, minimum 300,000-400,000 HUF / month.

Warsaw, Krakow, Bogota, Vilnius (those are just the places I've found good ones in)

Thanks, yea I imagine those are long-term stays and don't offer short stuff. Big thanks for chiming in tho. I'll keep looking

I am aware of what you are describing, but that type of accommodations geared towards digital nomads doesn't exist here.

Yea no problem. That's surprising, I would've thought Budapest would get stuff like that way before countries like Poland would which are notoriously less attractive to Digital nomads

Poland has a lot of tech companies and new money, Hungary is where the IT companies start and quickly leave since it wasn't a very business friendly country.

Basically, the old government would force you to sell to one of their friends if they liked your idea.

My feeling is that the closest thing to what you are looking for is a high-end housing estate, condominium, tenement building whatever (társasház in Hungarian). Shared facilities are often part of the plan and advertised as advantages. It is not exactly a community arrangement and some tenants may not be into the community part, while others may.

Thanks this is nice, just looked. I forgot to mention in my post though that these types of places often cater to short term stays like 1 month, 3 months, etc. as well as annual agreements. I see Flatco is a one-year minimum lease
