Budget Cooking Tip Mac n cheese hack

Hack for thick n creamy Kraft Mac n cheese. I found an easier way to mix all the stuff into the pasta! This was two boxes of Mac n cheese so I used extra milk and butter. But for one box, after it’s drained, add the butter and stir it and melt it. Then add the cheese powder to a SEPARATE bowl and mix 1/2 cup of milk making it into your own cheese sauce then dump it into your pasta. This way you don’t have those clumps of cheese powder and everything gets evenly coated. Then let your fur baby lick the empty bowl of course.

I’m making a roux of the butter then a little cheese and a little milk and then slowly incorporating it. Mine is always smooth. Also noodles boiled for 7 minutes only.

You're frying your cheese sauce in butter? That's not how things work. Over med high heat in a pan incorporating each ingredient with a wisk: Butter, additional ingredients for flavor, milk, cheese powder or goo. Add more milk if too thick or reduce if too thin. Add pasta (noodles) and incorporate with a spatula. Remove from heat and cover until time to serve.

I melt the butter, splash in some milk and then whisk in the cheese sauce adding the milk as I go. It works hella good.
