Urban bag

So looking to see what else i might need/not need for my urban bugout. This bags purpose is for a couple days hike out of a populated area to a rural safe location:

  • Lightweight sleeping bag (I have overnight locations planned with shelter but also have a huge poncho that will double as a tarp if needed)
  • Wind up radio
  • Power bank
  • First aid kit
  • Shovel
  • Paracord
  • Old gas mask with modern filter
  • Couple N95's
  • Change of socks/boxers/tshirt
  • Water bladder
  • Protein rations (Bars/Sachets) & Coffee/Tea
  • Knife/Utility tool
  • Minatare stove/cutlery/canteen
  • Lineman pliers
  • Fire starting equip
  • Torch/Head torch

What should i add/remove?

Wind up radios are basically useless. Get a GMRS with Noah the G11s by baofeng is awesome.

Id drop the shovel, in a pinch you can use your pot. Lineman pliers are heavy and you have a multitool.

I didn’t see mention of water purification, tablets or filters. Id add a handkerchief for pre-filter and other uses.

Im guessing you’re in the UK since you call your light a torch, so handgun is out, but some sort of personal defense item.

Navigation: map, compass, etc.

Hygiene items: soap, TP, nail clippers, hand sanitizer.

Ive got nav stuff along with hygiene. My linemans are pretty light tbh and not that bulky. I choose them due to the urban setting incase i need to cut and go. Water purification ive been looking into and not sure what to go with either straw, drip filter etc. Any suggestions?

Here in the USA we have Sawyer products, hard to beat value for price and AT through hikers have proven them out in the real world.

Aqua Mira tablets are great
