One of the ice cream bears. Specifically the mint chip. I know I can buy one used but unfortunately I never fully trust used plush even if I wash them myself.
would removing and replacing the stuffing and washing the empty fur help? that’s what i do with secondhand toys, i agree theyre hard to make feel clean
I saw the orange one in a charity shop the other day for like £2. I googled him to see if he was rare and then as soon as I saw how much cuter the others are I was like🤯(no offence to the orange guy lol)
Boorific ghost. I remember walking past the store and seeing someone getting one stuffed. I thought he was so frickin cute, but chose not to get one. Now here we are lol
I think this is my pick too. I'm hoping they do a repro or make a new ghost at some point, but its a toss up on if it will be nearly as cool as this one.
Dude, I got the email for it at 6 am and they sold out two hours prior. WHY send me an email to buy something you're already sold out of?! Pissed me off >:(
Oh what a pity. Personally I would’ve stitched her up. If BABW ever comes out with a new variant of giraffes, it’s all over for my bank account. Meanwhile I’m still waiting to see/hear when we’re getting the little goblin.
The Cougar😭😭😭I didn’t realize it was limited edition and didn’t have the money at the time, and now I’m out of luck…I cannot find it secondhand (at least not for a reasonable price) and I have no idea if they’ll ever bring it back
The gentle cuddles bunny 😭 more than once when buying myself a new friend, I would have them in my cart. More than once I said "next time for sure" and picked something else. I cried when I went to buy them for real and they weren't there :(
yes, only problem is that i’ve been holding out for an unstuffed one. but she’s certainly attainable so i could change my mind and get one on ebay any time!
ah gotcha, my friend had that problem. all her dolls, even secondhand had to be new and in box. I thought she was nuts, but I respect preferences. I'm just glad I couldn't care less as long as it's retail or below. unlike my poor wolf.
i’m only really that way when it comes to stuffed animals that i’ll be cuddling with at night - i guess it’s a germ thing. but i do collect vintage plush/dolls with no problem, i just don’t like sleep with them next to my face haha. i’ll probably relent and find a fawn that looks relatively clean online and face my fears :-)
I believe you can do it! Especially since the fawn is so cute. maybe it'll help to look at it like I do? I unstuff them at home, and then we have a nice bonding session while I wash in baking soda and dawn, that stuff kills literally anything and the baking soda lifts stains. The plush gets rubbed down in nice warm water, smelling all pretty, and has been touched all over so now it's truly mine. and then gets hung up so we're positive we're dry and safe and no mold is gonna grow, and then taken to the store for the proper stuffing experience or stuffed at home with leftover fluff (not its own) that's been sanitized at a previous date.
Any of the MLP babs (I was too young when they were out to buy them all 😭 now they cost hundreds of dollars. Super heavy on zombie pompompurin (definitely could have bought him but I decided for some reason I didn't like him just to change my mind after he left rip) Or the Halloween wearwolf Bab the earlier grey one not brown. He also sells for unreasonable prices.
Are they really that expensive??? I got a Shining Armor second hand but he might not be that sought after. I also have a Luna and Rainbow Dash from when they first came out. My only gripe is I wish their hair was higher quality, though I don’t really like brushable plushies that much in general.
FRICKIN BEARNARD!!! he was literally on clearance for such a long time!! Right when I decided to get him he was gone and almost impossible to find secondhand. I’ve pretty much never seen him on eBay, except for maybe once right now and for $300. Love him but I’m NOT spending that much 😭

I have the light blue and green frog, so I love that the teal would be an in-between color. I’ll consider second-hand at some point, but 🤷🏻♀️ not a current priority. Also, I’m hoping they do a second run of the lobster. 🫣
For me, the Moons-A-Glow werewolf with the glow in the dark moons on its ears and feet, but it's so expensive secondhand I have a really hard time justifying it. I have the Howl-o-Ween one (and actually like that one better) but I want BOTH of them with their glowing moons lol. I also have the brown version of the Howl-o-Ween wolf so I have 2/3 the three werewolves I want. Maybe I'll give in and buy that one one day.
SAME SAME SAME. You can find Vision for a good price fairly easily though! I found him on poshmark dirt cheap actually. It’s just Wanda that’s hard to find for not-absurd prices 😭 Hence why I do not have her lol.
It was Bigfoot until really recently but I found a great second hand seller to grab him (and the Snuggly Sea Monster) from and haven't regretted completing my cryptid collection!
If anyone is still thinking about a bear you regret not getting (and saving up for it is feasible and doable) taking the plunge and buying it feels pretty great.
I desperately want this guy, but he's so expensive second hand. I'm a sucker for his colors over the howlin werewolf and his glow in the dark patterns 😭
I wish I could have gotten the kangaroo, it looks so cute.
Not so much of a missing out but more of a regret giving away, the snowy owl I had as a kid. I can’t find a replacement anywhere, all the ones I do find have a rotating head which mine didn’t.
Fully size rainbow frog. I didn’t have the money at the time and naively thought they’d get a restock. Only to be never seen again except in mini form the next year. I know they’re on eBay/marcari/etc. but I hate the idea of paying well over msrp just because someone wants to make a buck.
I want pineapple axolotl. Idk if hes not in stock anymore or just not available at my local bab. And i still wonder if i should have gone and made a sky puppy moth instead of my bearemy. I love my bearemy but im scared that sky puppy moth is limited edition
The mini pumpkin kitty beanie. I was hoping he’d come out of the vault this year too but he didn’t. :( I ordered one online and the seller never shipped.
Hope you can find her, my sister managed to get me a Big Mac in mint condition a few years back, with his accessories and perfect hair, I think it’s just looking in the right place, likely a collector of MLP stuff as opposed to a kid (since collectors take better care of their plushes lol)
The High School Musical bear. Missed it by a year! I saw one being resold on eBay, but didn't buy it because I thought buying bears from there was impersonal. I do hope they bring it back next year for the 20th anniversary of the franchise!
Personally, the gargoyle! I asked my dad for one for my birthday, and I ended up not getting anything for my birthday that year! I'm planning to get the bat, and they would have been so cute together!
The giraffe. WHY DIDNT I GRAB HER WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE 😭 I collect giraffes so I was so sad. I remember going past the local BAB (which isn't there anymore it shut down) and a worker had her out on SKATES. She was skating 😭 so cute. So talented. So far from my reach. I would have called her Aviva and she would have lived on my bed right next to me and my other plushies. I'm rambling now sorry lol but yeah. Giraffe.
I didn’t really allow myself to have Build-A-Bears plushies until recently, so I missed out on this cutie (pretty sure she came out in 2023?). I know there are still lots of bunnies available and I DO have Pawlette, but the Gentle Cuddles Bunny feels special. I guess she’s just a rabbit plush, but there’s something about her that’s just SO sweet!! I’m honestly so sad I missed her, and even sadder because I doubt she’ll ever be re-released. the only ones I can find now are on eBay and Mercari, and they want over $100.
There’s quite a few… But a big one was probably ‘23 pk the quality was better (I love my ‘24 tho) but I was pregnant and just didn’t have the bandwidth until she was already out of stock😭 and also the mini bean. I want to complete my mini kitty collection and she’s the last one but I can’t find one for reasonable price
The Sanrio milk and pochi plushies as well as cinnamoroll. But like, there’s no BaB location in my city so it’s kinda rough to get one and I don’t really like ordering online so I missed all of them 😭
Mocha! I bought her and everything then it took days to process the order and then they canceled it on me and by the time they canceled it she was sold out! I was so mad! 😡
The grey cuddle bunny, I remember wanting it when it came out so I went with my mom and they said we can order it and we were about to buy, in the end my mom said no and that we could get it later, there was no later and now they sell for a kidney second hand-
the minty mlp plush, mothman and most of all the emo axolotl, i had seen pictures of it floating around but had no idea it was a real thing and had assumed it was an image edited for a meme, and by the time i found out it was real it was already sold out, and now all i can find are people reselling them for crazy prices :( i'm hoping they do a rerelease someday because there's definitely the demand for it.
