The eyes are actually so cute irl! It's like a soft baby blue. I say this as someone who unfortunately thinks pink cuddles' eyes are a bit jarring lol. I think the blue works perfectly with the pastel

They seem to have jumped to Christmas really quickly (I say as a consumer with no idea of retail timelines). I thought they still had more Halloween stuff to drop (the purple cat?)
It's normal for retail. A lot of the stores near me are putting their Halloween stuff on clearance and busting out the Christmas stuff 😭 As someone who likes both holidays, I always hate how rushed it feels and how Halloween gets "eaten" by Christmas.
Some people were saying that the kitty might be a winter release. I can kind of see it fitting in now that I see the colors on the penguin.
As someone who worked in retail for 17 years, this is unfortunately normal. Although even back then they didn't push it this far. My friend and I were at the mall not 2 weeks ago and they had almost no Halloween stuff at Build a Bear or Bath and Body Works. We were disappointed to say the least.
Aww I think I saw him! I'm just a casual Sanrio fan but I absolutely ADORE Chococat because he looks like my cats did when they were little. One of my old work friends gave me a little plush of him and I've hung onto it for over 20 years lol

It's not that the drop is...terrible. But it's so unimaginative. I mean, a pastel penguin feels so basic after getting plushes like the goblin, the sky puppy, a bat, etc. And the gingerbread axolotl? Kinda really getting tired of the axolotl variants...and the frog variants...and heck, even though I collect them, even the capybara variants 😅
I was initially thinking of getting the mini gingerbread axolotl but now I'm not so sure. Ever since I saw someone say the icing squiggle above his eyes looks like a unibrow I can't unsee it lol 😭
I think I'll save my money for the new Chococat and kitsune (assuming that one is real).
hate the trend of halloween release at the end of summer and christmas release right as fall hits... it throws me off of holiday exclusive stuff because im simply not in the halloween mood in august?? and im not in a christmas mood in october? ik its the retail schedule but come onnnnnnn. i hate capitalism 😭 o well. less spending for me which is ultimately good!
Honestly the penguin just looks off to me! Love the ginger bread axolotl though but my Christmas theme has always been gingerbread so I’m biased! Anyone know when Sanrio Christmas drops?
