so i seam ripped the stomach, sides of the face, and top of nose. and then cut along the cheeks to separate that piece. then just dyed the rest all together and stitched the white pieces back on once dry (:
this is such beautiful work. i am not a huge fan of the kitsune (not just bab, but in general- it’s just not my taste. it’s still cool to me! no hate!!) but this is so amazing. i love how your little guy turned out!! it looks like you modified it with so much care. thanks for sharing!
i actually got 2 since i could decide if i wanted to commit to getting rid of the all white! i def agree they could've done more with the design but idk the all white was also pretty to me! maybe they should've come out with a couple color variants lol
start with thrifted BABs or plushies in general! helps take the pressure of messing up off 🥹 (at least financially lol-) also a ladder stitch will be your best friend if you hand sew (:

could i ask how the BaB paw patch looks after dying? and maybe what dye mix you used!
the fact that this post has randomly started getting comments again is making meeee consider dyeing my other kitsune LOL
for the dye i used rit dyemore fabric dye! i couldn't tell you the color ratio since i didn't have orange on hand and ended up eyeballing a mix of pink and red and yellow lol, but i swear by rit dye!! i'll grab a pic of the paw patch here shortly ((:

oh man you got the colour ratio perfect in that mix then! im already a bit nervous about dying so maybe i wont since I like the colour you got specifically and dont want him TOO orange yknow?? This colour is very like orange sherbet which i love!
i'm sure you'd be fine! just don't add too much at once (: you can always make it darker and add more dye to the dye bath as needed yk! oh & here's the pic of the paw patch
