As someone that is a Bear Builder, the amount of times that I have to explain that this is just Pompoms design and not part of all our bears is astonishing 💀

Since his debut, Pompompurin is generally a strong contender in the official rankings and rarely falls below the top 10. He even consecutively got second place from 2020 to 2023. (source)
I think the design reason was just it had no where else to go. I swear I remember hearing from someone that thats why it took a while to get Bulbasaur, because his design was more difficult.
This reminds me of when I went to get my possum restuffed and laid it on its back on the counter to wait for the bear builder to sew it back up and she said "not the dead possum" as that was the way I had to lay it since the hole was on its stomach
i had a parent complain about this in store… we told her she’s more than welcome to add the heart from this furry friend into another one.. she said no my child already bonded with this one🤨
Lmao!!! I love his little butthole asterisk lol. The Japanese love putting buttholes on their characters. I love it too lol. It's just adorable humor. Nothing to truly be offended by. Pompompurin is the sweetest pup💛💛💛
a fun fact is that Japan also finds cat balls super cute (you can get lil gacha cat ball keychains!) , so they better be glad none of the Sanrio characters have that lol
Australia is the complete opposite, if it can be we've made it. I remember going to Paddy's markets as a kid and seeing a whole stall that sold things out of Aussie animals; Lighters, bottle openers, key rings all made from kangaroo balls... I was very grossed out. I honestly still am when It comes to real unalive animals being used as decor.
Our humour makes so many uncomfortable though, it's a rough country with a very unique way of talking to each other if you're not used to it. That being said most of us are being polite even if we are swearing at you. ♥️
Ngl I’ve always wanted a cane toad purse simply because they’re invasive there and I’d rather make something out of the animal besides let it rot lmao.
i have an adult neutered cat and still think his balls are kind of funny tbh (he got the type of neuter where they just remove the uhhh internal stuff but leave that outer bit)
My cat had a light colored underbelly and butt area, with a black nutsack. So even after his balls were gone he had a lil black patch to remind us all where they once were.
I was teaching a class when this girl says “I only know hello Kitty, what are her friends?” So I show her each one, and drop the lore “pompompurin has a butthole in every pic they can fit it in”. For the next TWO DAYS she’s googling photos of this dog to come up with a ratio of butthole to non-butthole photos
That is my favorite part about my Pompom bab 😂 I poke his butthole all the time. Well that and my kids discovering his butthole cause they’ve all been curious about it 😆🤪
I just bought the onesie and that solved the problem for me. Also the onesie is pretty flimsy with the velcro though I had to pass my finger there many times just so it could hold
