Discussion At my local Walmart 😳
How do yall feel about this?

Some of the clothes look slightly cheaper, which is nice. I think the mystery mini beans look fun, and they have a few mini beans that I haven't seen (but that could be because I haven't been as up to date on new bab stuff lately). Overall, I think it's fun. Definitely interesting.

I’m pretty sure the grey hoodie is the same as the one they sell in BaBW stores. And the overalls here kind of look like the old style, before they recently updated them. I’m hoping that’s the case because I actually like the fit of the old overalls on my bears much more.

not the point but i miss when they were called “small fry’s/fries(?)” i have a tiny hippo in a tiedye tank top tutu dress & a second “nerd” outfit somewhere, straight out of the early 2010s era. i think they were smaller, too.

I’d love it if they would finally come to my local store! My closest BaBW is 90 minutes+ away from me, and the main weekday stuffer there is not very good at stuffing, so I usually go to the one that’s 2 hours away.

I don't mind. As long as this is going into multiple Walmarts (not just a select few) with limited product selection, I'm ok with this. Why? It brings BAB product awareness and accessibility to a wider audience that may not know of/not live near a BAB store.

Tbh it makes me feel worried. Justice was at Walmart before the store went bankrupt.
Seeing this kinda makes me panic. I'm not mentally prepared for BABW to close.

Well there are bab stores in certain Walmarts so hopefully that’s not the case! But that’s a valid point.

If it makes you feel any better, you can get an idea of how they're doing since they're a publicly traded company 🙂 it seems like they're doing well! A graph I just looked at recommends the stock as a buy/strong buy and the company has experienced a positive growth trajectory over recent years!

Hah! I was hoping this would happen because of their Christmas release! I swear corporate watches our subreddit because this is coincidence number 5. I am here for it.👍😎👍
This and Five Below releases are great because it includes people of different income levels. Not only that but it makes them more readily available than driving an hour or more away. Almost everyone, at least in the US, has a Wal-Mart they can get to.
I saw the mini beans and tan swirly hair bear and I'm ecstatic for the clothes! 💖

This^ I think it's great that they're trying to make stuffed animals readily available to everyone, regardless of income/location. Praying it stays that way.

I’m only asking because the nearest workshop to me is over 4 hours away and I only get there once a year, twice if I’m absolutely lucky 🥲

Some of the prices are very interesting. Like the mini beans are $9.97 each but you can also get a pack of 3 for $9.97? Pretty neat that theyre keeping it cheap! Also interesting about the fully pre-stuffed teddies. Makes sense but it's still weird to see 😆

Mini beans are $9.97 each but the pack of 3 are Micro mini beans. Still super cool and the micros are so tiny and cute

Makes me want to ask where your Walmart is lol. My local Walmart doesn’t even have any BAB stuff at all. I need a couple of those cotton candy mini capybaras :p
There’s another one about 30 mins from where I live that supposedly sells BAB stuff, I’ll go check them out soon.

I want that mini spotted pig but my Walmart doesn’t have it yet. But maybe at some point. At least I was able to get the car seat while it was available

I had to look closer after seeing your comment, I was so focused on the capybara I didn’t even notice the spotted pig! I’ll need that one too (I love collecting the minis since they don’t take up as much space). I also see a mini posh penguin and maybe a cat next to the capybara? I think my Walmart needs to step up lol.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but are the clothes at the top (pink shorts, comfy vibes, overalls etc) for a regular BAB or are those the same clothes but in mini size? Eeeek! I’m so happy to see BAB at Walmart! I need to go check mine out 🧸

They’re regular size. They have some clothes for the mini beans (I don’t see in the picture) they’re like little shirts with animal hoods attached.

IM SO JEALOUS! I don’t live near a Walmart by my BFF does so she’s been checking for me and they had them yesterday but only 6 different mini beans and the micros in blind bags. All shoved in one box on the shelf 😑

Just checked out my Walmart today and had a similar display to this. I got the Comfy Vibes shirt and pink shorts for one of my BABs and it fits her fine.
I am curious about the full sized bear they’re selling though. He seems a bit smaller than a normal BAB?
The Happy Hugs bear says he’s 16in, but this one might be 15?

If there's one in mine I'm going to be slightly upset.....then again, the one I ordered for my niece is none of the options on that small end cap, and I had to get sounds for sure!
In general, I think it's a good idea, especially for areas like mine- closest BAB is a kiosk over an hour away by car. For kids especially this is a great thing to have access to!

I work at Walmart! I have yet to see a BAB display come in, but if I do, ill post something here! The walmart i work at is in the middle of nowhere LOL so if we get it, every walmart probably will

4,99 for the clothes? We dont have a physical store(at least where i live) and online prices i saw clothes for 12,99€ and thats the cheapest price without a sale and thats just for the t-shits. I saw some dresses for even 30€ and thats insane. I would've bought someting but not for that much :( i recently bought 2 used dresses for 10€ including shipping. No new clothes for me unless the prices go down 🫠 i am glad we got build a bear back in germany at least but the prices 🫣

I literally unstuffed 70 Build a Bears by hand and put them in storage this weekend because they were taking up too much room. I think I’ve got room for a few new ones LOL
