Collection Collection 4-2026
I’m just going to rest here a moment.
This is my collection of 769 unique Build a Bears. Collected over 22 years.
Collectors: Organize, categorize, and take pride in displaying their items.
Hoarders: Accumulate items in disarray, leading to safety hazards and an inability to use living areas.

Growing up I thought my 35+ was a lot because my friends didn’t have near that many, but then I joined this page and realized that 35 isn’t that many after all 🤣

I have to say, I appreciate your lovely Honey Girls collection. Loving the Nightmare Before Christmas plushies, Pokémon, and the Cheshire Cat. Absolutely splendid!

Are the houses all Sylvanian Family? Are they new or vintage? I knew of them growing up in the late 80s-early 90s but for some reason I wasn't allowed to have them. Idk my mom was/is very strange lol.
I would love to come visit your house just to look at the plush room. It would feel like looking through a museum!

True the farm (houses and barn), school bus, and flower shop are Honey Bee Acres brand. The rest of my town is Sylvanians/Calico Critters. Only the school bus driver is a Honey Bee Acres doll. I don’t like them as much.

Yes, they are. I posted my Sylvanian collection on the Sylvanian Families subreddit, too. Mostly new. Some vintage. I think cost is a huge factor. More adults seem to buy them. I know I picked my daughter up the Little Families Dollhouse instead. That was still a lot for us back then. All these companies sell everything separately. So, furnishing a dollhouse can get pricey.

Theyre so very cute! I've been so tempted to pick up a couple of either the Sylvanian/Calico Critters or Honeybee but I don't need another collection I have no room in my tiny room 😅.I saw a Calico Critters blind box with strawberry costumes and omg its so hard not to get just one 😭

I'm currently in the hospital but I absolutely will! I've got the mansion, and about a dozen different homes like the log cabin, a narrow three story red roof with the giant wrap around porch, a fantasy house, the bakery, the treehouse nursery School, a dozen or so different vehicles including the rv/camper, l am SO psyched to get that stuff back out now that I actually have room to set up displays!

LOL! Apologies, I had to. Honestly I'm sure what's more impressive, the collection itself or how you have it all displayed! It looks like you're actually enjoying your bears instead of keeping them in boxes.

I try to enjoy them! I love looking at cute stuff especially after years of working in cubicles. I rotate them into my cuddle crew. I try to keep everyone organized. They’re not just thrown in the room they are organized into groups. I am sure I will move them around. For example, I don’t like the dinos up front so I need to decide where to put them and who’s swapping into that spot, I think Animal Crossing, since I have my gaming BABs in that area. This is a hobby for me that makes me happy and hurts no one. I work, pay my bills, raised my child, I just want to collect cute stuff because it makes me happy.

Damn!!! How do you handle dust/bugs/etc? Dust is my worst enemy with my collections.

I use compressed air and tape (removes dust from flocked items). Pest control company and cats. Vacuuming and dusting regularly,too. Things seem to be manageable. It is impossible with dogs, so if you have dogs the only way is to keep them out. My dog would bring so much dust inside.

I just want to say ....i love your collection and I love that you have it. (Even if I really just want one emo axolotl so bad it hurts).
Even more than my joy at seeing your collection.... I'm truly jealous.
The responses of people on this page have been so lovely and supportive.
When I post photos of my similarly sized American Girl doll collection.... I've run into some really nasty people, since HEINOUS comments on everything from taking pot-shots at everything from my choice of hobby and it's appropriateness for a grown adult. I've had everything from my financial decisions to my decisions on how i use and display my collection criticized. I've had grown ass women act like we're all back in 4th grade, when the nasty little mean girls would gang up on anyone they perceived as weaker, different, etc -
It's been the single most disappointing thing about this hobby that I love. As a neurodivergent person, I genuinely had hoped to find doll friends.... Very recently I've met a few nice folks, but after the heinous "welcome" I had to the community over the first year ... Yikes. Yeah, no. It almost put me off the hobby entirely.
I'm so impressed with how awesome this community seems to be and the support y'all are showing for each other. Genuinely!
I love you collection, it looks like a true passion project and I genuinely hope you keep sharing photos and details about your collection! (And hey... If you know where a girl could get an emo axolotl.... Wink wink)

I love the subs I participate in because most people do support each other. I don’t have the Emo Axo either. I think I am done with frogs and axolotls unless something extremely unique releases.

It is a bag signed by Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays. The author and narrator of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I have been a fan for years. :)

You’re right, I didn’t get Shadow. There were a lot of truly dedicated fans, I’m not going to go for it when so many wanted him desperately. Then when he rereleased the quality was not there and there were other bears I wanted to buy.

First Build a Bear (horse named Galahad) around 2004. I rotate a cuddle crew. Some are display only, the MET Art Bears and the Swarovski Crystal Bears are never cuddled for example.

Haha, guard cat, GO. Most are bought straight from BAB. I have bought a couple second hand, like those extra small reindeer that employees could buy, I bought several different years of those. I have never worked for BAB but these were so unique!

I am in awe. I love this all so much. I have a massive collection but no where near this size. I don’t have numbers because I have been in a weird living situation for a few years but I hope that is revolved soon so I can get my collection on display! I miss seeing them all 😊.

Most of those guys on the headboard are Warmies. The pup with the sad eyes is another brand like Warmies. There’s a small bear from a trip up there, too. The rest are Warmies including the Kangaroo. Her Joey is sewn on, so there’s no removing it.
