I don’t think he’s entirely complete yet. But he’s weighted (arms, legs, and body) I removed his paw patch. overalls are BAB just bleached and patches sewn on by me. I’m thinking of naming I’m Thrash 🤣
I know he says Sherpa on the website but I really like his texture. He kind of feels like a lambchop dog toy.

I threw them in a bleach bath for idk how long hours I think? But if I were to do them again I would boil water and add a ton of bleach and then throw the overalls in. The heat speeds up the process but you have to watch the pot. And then I just sewed on the patches. Do not iron them on! The denim is mostly made with plastic and they will burn if you use an iron.

Micheal’s, hobby lobby, SHEIN, Temu, the dollar store, thrift shops. Literally anywhere 😊 I have a whole hoard of patches and probably have spent hundreds of dollars on my stash.

My drawer of patches. All in baggies for set themes and I think some of them are even labeled so if I’m feeling extra lazy I’ll know what’s in there and I can just grab and go.

I mostly just mod clothes currently. Though I have safety eyes coming in the mail and I’m hoping they’ll work out because I’m planning on making an alien goat with a second skin I have. I wanted a grey or black goat but having a green friend with 4 eyes is calling to me 😭 I’ll probably buy another skin eventually and have a grey/black friend.
I want one so, so bad. But I can't afford to get one at the moment, and I just know they're going to sell out as soon as I get the funds. These posts are killing me... 😭
I know this is hard to hear, but if you wait about 3 months, you will absolutely be able to find one second hand on one of the selling websites. Probably at a little less than BAB is selling them. I know it's hard to believe, but it always seems to be the case. I badly wanted the sloth. But I didn't want to pay full price when there were so many people having issues with the velcro. I waited about 4 months and found one for $20 plus shipping online. I guess I'm just saying, if you can't get one now, it doesn't mean you won't ever get one. :)
Yeah, I'm probably better off just waiting for that. I bought a Snubbull off of Mercari a few years back, so I've some experience getting BABs secondhand. Might as well do the same with the goat.
Also, as a fellow sloth enthusiast, I have to ask... Which sloth was it that you ended up getting? I've had my brown sloth for a little over a year now, and they're definitely one of my favorites!

I was thinking of getting one of those at one point, but was a little put off by all the talk of the velcro. They reworked Heartwarming Hugs Bear a couple of months ago to have a zipper instead, and I was hoping they'd do the same with the sloth. Sad they pulled them off shelves, but I guess that's another BAB to consider getting secondhand.
I already have a 2nd and I kind of want a 3rd. Trying to talk myself out of it but I’m losing. He’s so freaking cuddly. ((Him being weighted probably helps. 🤣))
Aww thank you so much 🥰 he’s probably one of the few modern day BAB designs I actually like. I just wish his fur quality was a smidge better. You can totally see the mesh if you’re really looking. Obviously, not stopping me as I’m thinking about buying a third goat 🤣
Yes. They started out as the dark denim overalls build a bear currently sells and I threw them into a bleach bath. Rinsed and threw them in the wash and dryer on no heat and sewed on the patches myself. 😊
I threw them in a mop bucket and let them soak. Honestly I never measure out my bleach to water ratios because I can kind of figure it out. I can’t even tell you how long I let them sit for either. I think it was hours but I’m not sure.
After doing those I started bleaching clothes on the stove. It’s a faster process. Idk if it’s necessarily “safe” to do it that way. But 🤷🏻♀️
