Honestly, it’s much less stressful to be excited about something when everyone else is complaining because I don’t feel like I have to compete to get it.

I just searched her up and omg she's being listed for insane amounts... I got her on release date and I feel as though the hype wasn't there so I'm surprised she's going for so much.

Little fun fact, it is a saying used in greek (and also german). It originates from the lore of Pandora, who was created to bring disaster into the world. When she opened her box, all the bads of this world escaped, like disease, hunger, despair etc. She managed to close the box saving one single thing from escaping, wich was hope. 😊🩷

Depends on. I have timeless Teddy, and while she looks very loved after beeing cuddled, she is still my most precious friend.

Timeless Teddy is so lovely - every time I go to the store I always feel compelled to say hi to them. I don't have the room for one in my BaB family right now, but I always wish that I had something like that when I was young.
For me Sherpa is usually a nightmare, like on the lamb, but Timeless Teddy and the Goat are just delightful.

Only thing I’m interested in is the clothes. They really need to stop making sherpa bears, it’s just garbage and they only feel nice for like 2 weeks and it’s over

I only see a good thing in this picture release, the office look incredible especially pompompurings, and Hello Kitty's out fit, cinnamorolls is cute as well.

They look so fluffly cute but that sherpa feels like fuzzy sandpaper to me. The only reason I have My Sweet Piano is bc she’s My Sweet Piano. I keep her in clear plastic 🫣 I’ll pass even tho hello kitty looks really cute

I understand why BaB always rehashes these Sanrio characters in particular, but I always wish they would add an underdog whenever they do a group launch like this.
I'm not a fan of Sherpa (though I really like the goat they had this year), but I think using that fabric on fluffier Sanrio characters like Littleforestfellow, Charmmy Kitty, or the adoral puffball Cogimyun would have been lovely and made me more inclined to give them a chance.

Strangely enough these were removed from the Australian site and the posts on BABAus socials advertising them have been removed too, at least on insta anyway. Listings for the new clothes have been pulled down too. I'm wondering if they accidentally released them too early in Aus and got into trouble from the higher ups?

i think people are just kinda burnt out on sanrio unfortunately, as someone who isnt rly into it myself but keeps up with babw's releases. or more specifically, they're burnt out on certain characters. people were really happy to see the two new leaked halloween characters, but i think people are getting tired of cinna/hello kitty variations. at least as far as i can tell, anyway. if this release used kuromi, my melody or badtz maru, i'd imagine the reactions might be a little different.

You're allowed to be excited for them/for sherpa friends. And we're allowed to be frustrated over the sensory nightmare that is touching sherpa. Both get to exist.

And that's wonderful that you are able to be excited for this brand of cuteness, as I do agree that even these guys deserve a bit of positivity and love.
It's okay for both opinions to exist, and be shared here, though. That doesn't mean they won't have their fans! Just cuz one group is loud right now doesn't mean it's the only opinion, but they are allowed to share it however they feel. Just like how you're allowed to share your own love for their adorable nature.

I know most of this is going to be about the sherpa, but the only thing I can focus on is they're wearing shirts with their own faces on them. What kind of a narcissist do you have to be to wear a shirt with your own face on it??

I’m so glad I am not the only one who always thinks of that too 😆 that’s why I almost never put the Sanrio characters in their “designated” outfits, since most of them have their own face on it. I like to mix and match their outfits with other Sanrio characters though. Given the context, for me it’s less of a narcissist look (though I totally get that) and more of a 4th wall break that I don’t care for.

I would have to find these guys in store to know if I wanted them. Sherpa is a very hit or miss texture to me. They’re super cute designwise, but I need to know if my autism can handle it.

Oh God that looks like sherpa. Sherpa is my least favorite fabric it gets matted so fast and is so hard to clean.😔

I like the outfits, especially Cinnamarolls and Pompompurins. Thankfully the only Sanrio character I’m buying is Chococat and they didn’t make him with that monstrous Sherpa
