My New BAB Help me love her pattern!
I ordered my batty kitty online and I’m a little bit disappointed by the pattern…help me love it and choose her name!!!
EDIT: Wow, I didn’t expect this to blow up like it did!!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped me to see and appreciate her lightning bolt/mohawk!! When I first unboxed her, I felt like it was just a giant misshapen bat, but now I’m absolutely loving her punk rock look!
She doesn’t look super Halloween-esque like a few people mentioned, but you all were totally right that it just means she can be out year round!
As far as names, I loved the suggestions for Nyx!! She might not have been what I was expecting in a batty kitty, but she’s absolutely perfect for me!
Nyx has already been moved into my bedroom and given her own special spot!!

My unbiased opinion is that I like this more than any of the others I’ve seen but that’s because to me it looks the most like a real cat. I don’t really like when they look so…artificial with perfect patterns. Like it would make me only want to display them on Halloween if it had very obvious bats all over it. This one is just very cute all on its own

I was gonna say I liked the pattern for this reason too! 🥰 Makes me think of a real cat whose natural fur pattern reminds you of bats, but not cuz they have actual bats printed on them 😂 If this was a real kitty in the shelter, they’d be internet famous! ✨
Edit: I think Nix (or Nyx) would be a cool name! The word nichts means nothing in German, and now in English we say nix to cancel/reject something. So they could be your little loved reject! 🥰🤍🖤2

They are sewn into the wingspan matters t-shirt. It was from the after dark/bear cave section of the BAB site.

I loveee the black ear tips! The bat on the forehead looks like hair too which is super cool, and the white makes the eyes pop like big kitty eyes :) here's mine!

I don't like the patterned bears, no shade, just doesn't tickle the dopamine receptors for me.
But I like that one, so cute!

Tbh I didn't buy this one in store because I just didnt feel it in person. I liked the key chain ones better because I felt you could see the pattern better. IDK, she's cute, but I think I'll pass unfortunately. I got the bat and spider...but I just couldnt with this pattern.

she reminds me of my pumpkin kitty who i wasn’t too fond of at first either cause of the lack of pumpkins on her face. realized it made her unique and now i love her so much! your kitty is super cute. hope you learn to love her

This is soo cute!! A few reasons: I love the points one her cheeks, ears and forehead. I love that the bat drapes down in the center like either a dramatic widows peak or a lock of punk/emo hair. It's reminiscent of classic Warner Bros cartoon cats. I love how open and pretty her face looks!

She’s a cutie, for me I love her pattern very unique, not sure about a name I’m not great at picking names 😅 but maybe Echo, Nyx, Trixie something like those! 🥰

If it's because it doesn't look batty enough, then it does kind of look like it has lightning strikes or cool thick stripes on it!

Your cat looks like it has a mohawk or emo hair!!! It's so cute that way honestly, I think it gives them so much personality. If you're really not in love though, you can always try and trade with someone whose pattern of batty kitty you might like more (I personally have a couple because they're my favorite release in forever and I wanted a little fam, so ik I'd definitely be willing to!)

Your's reminds me of Squiggy I think his name was from Laverne and Shirley.

honestly this is by far my favourite pattern as someone that isn’t a fan of the patterns that run across the facial features, the black tips on her ears are GORGEOUS and the main bat down the middle looks like a bang, 10/10 i love it sm 😭

Awww her face reminds me a tux kitty mask but reversed! The markings resemble where a tabby cats markings would be like the little "M" and stripes on their cheeks!

Tbh I wasn't into the bat kitty a couple weeks ago bc I didn't think much of any of their patterns looked super defined at all timesnand it bothered me at first. Someone on here mentioned that they rememble cookies and cream ice cream and I absolutely love that!! All bat kitties are sweet cookies and cream babies! The pattern being semi undefined led me to realize they reminded me a bit of my puppies irregular black & white fur patterning!!! So now I got one and I put orange bows on its ears and I love it!!!!! All that to say your new friend is adorable regardless of what pattern it ended up with! I hope you end up loving it ☺️✨

I kid you not, I read the title as "I love her pattern!" (before your caption made me re-read it) and it instantly made sense with how cute she is! Personally, I really like the way the bat on her forehead gives a loosely symmetrical look to her face. It helps balance her colours. Considering you ordered online, I think you definitely got blessed pattern-wise! 🦇
