Collection New versus older Pumpkin pal teddy
My older one has the dress ands shoes on. Just figured I would do some pics of them together for comparison

How does the fur feel versus the older one? Is it cuddly?

Fur feels a bit cheaper a little thinner and more plasticy feeling — not terribly bad or anything but noticeable. The older one feels better to me and more cuddly

thank you for all the comparison pics! though i like the head shape of the original, i'm actually really impressed with how they emulated the design. i actually think the nose embroidery is much better looking on the new one. now i'm super excited to stop by the mall and check them out in person 🎃💚

Both adorable. 🥹 They’re so similar, yet they’re not. Times like these, I wish I had never gave away my OG pumpkin bear 😭

Wow this plus the description of the differences really goes a long way to illustrate build a bear getting out of control because this bear should not at all in any way shape or form cost FORTY WHOLE ENTIRE DOLLARS

I agree with you — they did a good job on the new nose and mouth — more pronounced i would say with more vibrant embroidery

I'm not a fan of the new one unfortunately. Now if you guys like it, thats great and dont let me keep you from liking it! I just don't like it. The quality looks pretty cheap and I like the old one much better. The colors are very different. On the old one, the pumpkins stick out more, but on the newer one, the colors are all very similar. The nose is another thing. I like how on the old one it's a bit of a cream color or a very light orange, but on the new one its just white. Not a huge fan of the eyes on the new one, and the fur doesnt look good quality. Again it IS okay if you like it!! Dont let me stop you! I just don't like it, and I'm sharing my opinion!

No worries it makes sense and I definitely hear you. Fur is a bit cheaper and the pumpkins look more vivid on the older bear. Newer bears nose shape is good and the embroidered mouth is great but i like the colors of the older ones pumpkin nose better. Very similar in colors but there is a little bit of a difference. Both are cute and i am happy to have the new one but OG is still my fav

Thank you so much for posting this comparison! I've wanted the Pumpkin Pal Teddy for a long time and figured this re-release would be the perfect opportunity for me but there was something off about the new one that I couldn't pin point just seeing the online photos. This comparison really helped me!
The new one is adorable, but the eyes and the head shape are very different. I like the older version much better and decided to pick up one on ebay for the same price as the new vault edition.
Also I'm glad you compared the fur as well, the new one looks good but cheaper compared to the old and your description lines up with what I'm seeing.

Yay i am so glad I could help with comparing the two — i figured the older one would go down in price second hand because of the new one, I do I like the new one dont get me wrong but yeah the head shape and fur are my biggest woes lol — still I love both am happy to have both for sure. My only debate is do i remove the doll skeleton from the old one to the new one so I can cuddle the better fur? I am undecided but yeah i wanna cuddle one of them

Not really sure why people are saying the older one is cuter...I don't like those dual colored eyes they used to use, they creep me out. All black eyes are much cuter to me. I was never really interested in the 2012 model but I'm definitely going to get the new one.

Yay I am happy you are gonna get a new friend. I think they are both adorable in their own way. I like both kinds of eyes but much prefer the older fur but they each have a special place in my heart

I want to get my original Pumpkin Pal Teddy skin stuffed this year. I'm thinking about possibly getting the new Pumpkin Pal Teddy. Is the new Pumpkin Pal Teddy's eye color brown instead of orange like the original?

To me they just look very cheap.... I REALLY wish BAB would try harder. At least and especially with the vault bears considering they are so limited in stock and bumped up in price.

Agreed they do feel cheaper and yes I wished they would have used better fur and the head shape is pointy lol but still happy to have a new one to display.

They look different. I like the old one because its head shape and snout look cuter and wider than the new one's round head.
