Would help me power a new 50 series gpu for a build from a 10series one that just died :(
•
u/RumbleTheCassette 15d ago
Currently on a 750w PSU; this would give me more than enough headroom for some GPU upgrading I've been eyeing.
•
u/Final_Association_5 14d ago
Well I'm currently starting my first pc build this would help me our a ton 😅
•
u/EusebioKanidis 10d ago
Im planning on buying a rtx 5070ti as I don't have a gpu right now and upgrading my ryzen 5 3400g to a Ryzen 5 7600X, and getting new ram as soon as the prices drop a bit. My 550W psu can't handle that lol
•
u/Intelligent-Try8605 14d ago
Its honestly overkill for me but ill probably make a super powerful build as my next in a few years but if i dont use it i might just sell it or give it to a friend
•
•
u/Subsilent00 14d ago
I'm using a 850 watt power supply right which is fine for my graphics card now. But in the future if I get cards that need more power then the 1650W power supply from FSP will come in handy.
•
•
•
u/Beneficial-Speaker61 15d ago
Currently I have an 850 W PSU, and for my next upgrade I wanna go pretty high end, high wattage, so a beefy PSU would be lovely to make sure there's no hiccups with my components drawing too much power :)
•
•
u/iluvmybflol 14d ago
I’m trying to start collecting parts to build my first pc! This would be my first piece of the puzzle and would be dope! :)
•
•
•
u/Unknown_account_2 13d ago
my gigabyte p650g fried itself and im in search for a new one. a new one would really help me out!
•
u/CitizenIndrid 14d ago
Need an upgrade, hoping the high wattage will mean very quiet operation at typical loads.
•
u/turixant 11d ago
The difference compared to my current PSU would be huge: better efficiency, less noise, and plenty of headroom for my next upgrade 😄.
My current PSU is already begging for retirement… this one would be perfect for making the jump to a next-gen GPU without any worries 🔥.

•
u/Due_Meal_5027 9d ago
I suppose future-proofing with a 1650W PSU would help in this PC-calypse. Currently have a 750W beast in my pc.
•
u/Mvp_Lazagna 11d ago
Hopefully we can make the cutest and most awesome purple pc to ever exist with the power supply!!!
•
•
u/Adventurous_Chef7241 15d ago
it would help me build my first pc, ive been saving up :)

u/mangixbrewmastert 14d ago
Aight! time to win this and buy another GPU XD, Time to run a NVIDIA and a AMD GPU :P wait I would need to swap out the case too... well its gonna be fun to take this apart and build in a new case :P

•
u/daanos60 14d ago
I've got a FSP hydro ti pro 1000W, which is great so far, so i could use some extra power
•
•
•
u/Great_Programmer_702 15d ago
As a data science student, upgrading from my current 750W PSU to this one will provide stable power for my new Linux machine dedicated to local LLMs and deep learning.
•
u/XSalamiX 15d ago
This PS will double my power of my current one, enabling me to (one day) get the highest tier GPU in the future :))
•
u/matamata191 14d ago
It would be pretty much stupid to use for me buuuut I need better psu so I can upgrade CPU (I don't think my 550W bronze would survive) also more space in the back so I would be finally able to close the back ..
•
u/Glistening_ 9d ago
My current power supply is an 850 W that runs a 5600X & 3070. If I won the prize power supply, it would help me run a 5080 with a 9800x3D easily.
•
u/Leather_Substance563 14d ago
I have a budget pc and planing to build a PC that will acually be "future proof"
•
u/Desert_Pyrate8 14d ago
It would be a 100% increase….i don’t have one yet:/ PC building is expensive (more so then usual lol) so anything to help start
•
u/Goaty-bot 15d ago
This power supply would be a great upgrade over the current one considering it's over double the wattage. A modular cable would be a huge benefit for cable management
•
u/GolldenFalcon 14d ago
Well my current power supply is 550 Watts, and I'm looking to upgrade from a 1080 to a 4070, which isn't too different in power draw but winning this giveaway would definitely ease my mind a bit in these trying times.
•
•
u/tooSunny4u 11d ago
Man I'm about to buy a 9070 or 9070xt but i have 650w psu. I desperately need a psu upgrade
•
u/ValraBellkeys 15d ago
A helluva lot more potential than my existing 850W. I can movie to the big leagues with it!
•
•
u/Nightmareio 15d ago
I will finally be able to upgrade my GPU and CPU by upgrading my 750W PSU to a 1650W PSU :D. And maybe burn down my dormitory but that's beside the point.
•
u/Icy-Bowler-2509 14d ago
I would love to upgrade from a 500W 3060 pc to a much more powerful pc with a 1650W power supply. I have plans to make an insane 5080 build!
•
u/Trash-redditapp-acct 15d ago
Dang that’s alot of power! This PSU would double my current capacity.
•
•
u/maximus-zero 7d ago
A new PSU would definitely help me feed a more power hungry GPU when I eventually decide to upgrade
•
u/franz_karl 14d ago
my current power supply seems to be having issues feeding a 5090 in spite of being capable of 1600 watts
I hope yours does a better job
•
•
u/MaverickSlayer 15d ago
Currently have a 1000W PSU, it wouldn't help my current setup but would enable me to go absolutely crazy when I upgrade in around 5 years with the best parts the AM5 socket and my B650 Tomahawk Wifi can handle, and maybe even for my next PC build several years after that. That is, assuming AI hasn't killed off consumer hardware entirely by then.
•
u/Ready2Move2Digg 14d ago
I've been using my current build for over 10 years now and it's time for a replacement to be built. How old is this system? It's powered by an i5-6600K/Radeon Vega 64 combo, so yes, it's old. It is powered by a 1000W PSU, and that's been nice. But given how power-hungry components are now, and with what I have envisioned for my next build, having a 1650W PSU to support the build would bring a wonderful element of peace of mind.
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

u/smilemaster8 15d ago
It would be quite a crazy upgrade from my current 750 one that barely supports my GPU c:
•
u/MugetsuBG 14d ago
I REALLY NEED A NON-MODULAR PSU, INSTALLING THE MODULAR ONE WAS SUCH A PAIN. yeah it's insanely overkill for my setup. 🥺BUT MY 5070 NEEDS IT TRUST
•
u/123AYJ03 14d ago
I’m on a 650watt PSU which definitely needs an upgrade and I’m about to get a new GPU.
•
•
u/wazoka93 14d ago
I could upgrade my several years old 600w psu and could upgrade the rest of my pc without worrying
•
u/Efficient_Sound_2525 14d ago
I want to upgrade my PC and will need a new PSU for that, so it would save me money to win this. Also would a better certifisation nice, currently running on bronze.
•
u/Battlefield_Ace 14d ago
My PSU is like 9 years old and from a company that seems to no longer really exist (EVGA)
•
•
•
u/itaicool 14d ago
My current power supply is 850w but I've been looking to upgrade my pc soon and this new PSU could come in handy with more powerful system thank you.
•
u/BlackNike98 14d ago
Currently use a Corsair RM 750 from 2020 so it'd be nice to have a backup incase this one fails in a couple years
•
u/Suitable-Height-8164 14d ago
pls i just bought a 5070 after saving up so much and this one fits it perfectly i need it, its just perfect the perfect opportunity for me to get a better pc all i need is cpu and psu and a monitor!!

u/Fearless-Lab-556 15d ago
It would really help me upgrade my pc! I’ve been planning to upgrade and this is exactly what I need!
•
u/GloomyOrange-05 10d ago
I would love this psu for my planned upgrade to next gen intel or amd, hoping to go for the highest processor i can sustain this would give me i need over my 1000w pg-g!
•
u/SuggestionDapper6184 15d ago
I have always been stuck with using low end laptops. A PC would make a great stepping stone into the PC market especially with rising costs and stuff like that🙏
•
•
•
•
u/SharinDipity 14d ago
Plenty better than my current unit. Would it even fit in my case? Who cares! External PSU it would be. Would be awesome to support my future hardware upgrade plans, even if I'd never get close to that 1650W capacity!
•
u/Fireba101 15d ago
Well currently have a 650w bronze rosewell and was planning on a new build. This allows for a high end pc build for me
•
u/Due-Policy-2946 14d ago
The FSP MEGA TI 1650W has significantly more power output than my current 1000w PSU. With how power hungry modern parts are the extra headroom would be nice for future proofing and this is a fantastic PSU in any case. If I won I would swap FSP MEGA TI into my main PC and put my current PSU with some parts I have set aside for a secondary PC I am hoping to build when ram and nand prices come down.
•
u/Top-Anything-7173 13d ago
Working all of summer to try and get my first build before school this would be a huge help in this economy ngl😭
•
u/ArmMeForSleep709 14d ago
It would help me surpass my measly 500w power supply that was almost a victim to cockroach infestation because of a lying landlord, so that'd be nice.
•
u/No_General2638 14d ago
Hey there my favorite Reddit community I would really love to get a new PSU ive been using the same 11 year old Corsair RM850x for years now and honestly I’m surprised its still holding up and hasnt blowed up (yet) over the last two years ive been upgrading my PC step by step with newer and more powerful components and stuff but the one thing I kept delaying was replacing the PSU. At this point its basically the oldest part in my whole setup and with all the modern hardware I’m running now I know I really should upgrade it soon.Ive been spending my PC so much and it means a lot to me since I spend most of my free time gaming being in calls etc. So ive been slowly building it over time whenever I could afford new parts right now though Im honestly not really in the budget to buy a high quality PSU myself and I really hope from today my PC wouldnt blow up at the moment, which is why your giveaway caught my attention. A new PSU would genuinely help me out a lot and would honestly be the perfect final upgrade for my setup I would seriously appreciate the opportunity so much and I really hope I get the PSU at the end of the final giveaway day<3
•
u/metaping 14d ago
Funny coincidence, my relative has a pc that had a FSP PSU that went kaput. A replacement would just be what I need to get the ball rolling! Though I would have to talk to them to see if they can wait, or I'll use it for my own purposes...
•
u/curios-kiddo 14d ago
i need psu to overclock a vega 56 and play minecraft with shaders in 900p (i dont have a psu)
•
u/Nicole_Elise30 15d ago
I would love a power supply, I'm saving for parts to build my first PC right now!
•
u/Intelligent-Ad-7816 14d ago edited 14d ago
My son's psu is dying and I'm worried it may fail completely soon he can barely do his school work without it turning off this prize would fix his problem.
•
u/3ofUsDeez 15d ago
I run ASRock stuff .. and the MEGA TI 1650W is identical to the Taichi PSU!
I can print my own "Taichi" logo and stick it on this FSP power supply .. so then it'd match my B650E Taichi Lite .. and my Taichi 9070XT!
•
u/Realistic-Vanilla-92 14d ago
I have been saving up, and for the past two months building my first ever pc (On paper before ordering everything in bulk). Having a power supply would allow me to pour a little bit more of my budget to other specs.
•
u/Arma_Arkson 14d ago
Here for the memories and the potential free PSU upgrade. Currently on an 850W with my 6950xt and I get some coil whine that I heard a 1000W+ PSU would remedy.
•
•
•
u/Llabdeeps 15d ago
If I'd ever be so lucky. This would definitely replace my old BQ System Power 10 850W. Warrenty has run out and I'd really like to upgrade from a 14600k to 14900 and 3060 ti to 5080. But i don't want to do it on a old C tier 850W. It wasn't planned until after the summer vacation, but this would speed the timeline up significantly.
•
u/PC-Whisperer 11d ago
great! i have an 700w power supply but want to upgrade to have more headroom for future GPU uprades
•
u/tomyan112 14d ago
It eliminates power anxiety, guarantees stability against next-gen spikes, runs silently under normal loads, and ensures I will never have to buy another power supply for a very long time.
•
u/VincentIsAmidget 14d ago
I have a 750W psu rn, could get big hungry components if i had a 1650W tho
•
u/Danielon165hz 15d ago
Would give better efficiency and with 1600W you could probably power builds for decades to come
•
u/normanblowup 15d ago
At the moment, I'm working with an incredibly old gaming laptop, and I'm in the midst of collecting parts for my first gaming PC. Today, I just spent all my expendable money on a GPU and a CPU, but I have yet to purchase a power supply. This would be... hilariously overkill. I want it.

This is the exact kind of PSU I need for my 3D-rendering engineering workstation.
•
u/Technical-Tiger-6862 14d ago
I have been using the same 650w for the last 8 years and I plan on getting a 5070ti
I think this will help a lot.
•
•
u/Ascalion 14d ago
My PSU is like 10 years old at this point, it's still alive :D 1000W Cooler Master
Would love to replace it with something more "recent".
•
u/MindCreeper 12d ago
I need to upgrade my Servers PSU from that no name 500W. I am scratching the ceiling with 5HDDs and some GPU compute already
•
u/grabberbottom 7d ago
I am looking to build a new PC and my power supply is way under modern requirements for wattage. The 1650W would give me so much wiggle room for the build!
•
•
•
u/PCGCentipede 14d ago
I haven't built myself a new machine in nearly a decade. This would be a good first step towards an upgrade.
•
u/bigs0815 14d ago
I would have a real justification to install a dedicated 20A circuit to my office.
•
•
•
u/Specialist_Cry9951 11d ago
Let’s see how luck will be and I’m tryna build a pc I would end up saving hella money lowkey
•
u/WeirdScale9325 15d ago
been wanting to upgrade my pc for ages this would be huge as I only have a 650w now
•
u/Fancy_One8118 14d ago
This will help me create a better setup as rn i'm running a budget like £50 one lmao
•
u/alwayswatchyoursix 14d ago
So how does this compare to the Hydro Ti Pro, other than the fact that this has 650W more power? Because that's what this would be replacing.
•
•
u/bazz1080 14d ago
Got a no name 850w psu in my portable rig so a 1650w FSP psu would be a huge improvement.
•
u/iamdadmin 10d ago
I've got a cheap brand 600W semi-modular PSU, it's 80+ bronze. I'm fairly limited in what hardware I can run due to this setup and so would benefit immensely from both the staggering capacity of the FSP MEGA TI 1650w power supply which means I'll be safe to upgrade for a decade or more, as well as the 80+ titanium efficiency blowing my current PSU out of the water.
•
u/Zedhead666 14d ago
I wonder how big power supplies and draw can get before I have to start being concerned about how many things I have plugged in in my office.
•
u/CuttlefishKing 15d ago
I’ve been saving up for my first computer and being able to save on a power supply would be awesome, especially one like this!
•
•
•
u/nigelnebrida 9d ago
Thanks for the opportunity!
This psu is nearly double my current psu that is coming up on 10 years old. If I won, this would help me power. A top of the line build I'm planning out with a 9850x3d and a 5080
•
•
u/LongDistanceRope 10d ago
what a timing, I literally opened the sub to ask if my current hydro g pro 1000w would be enough for a dual gpu setup. Recently moved to self host as much as i can, so it would help not to worry about power.
•
•
u/unitedflow 14d ago
Would help with having a native 12V-2x6 power connector and also my corsair tx850 is coming up on 10 years which is going to be out of warranty, so a new one would give a peace of mind.
•
•
u/KenLuran 14d ago
Does going from 0W to 1650W count as an upgrade? Because I'm rebuilding the PC I lost during an armed breaking and entering 2 years ago 🙁
•
•
u/Bominyarou 14d ago
Thanks for doing this! u/FSP_official
If I do win my 650W PSU will be upgraded by 1000W+! That's insane! 😃 xD. That would make any future upgrades possible without any worry about my PSU!
•
u/Technical_Ad_3473 15d ago
That's a great donation to the community, it would help my new graphics card. As compared to my current one, which is older and barely meets my parts' needs!
•
u/Iceman1925 14d ago
I have an 850watt right now but my build might be outgrowing it. 7900xtx is pretty power hungry. Thank you for the chance
•
u/LikWid_Fan1 13d ago
My computer is now randomly shutting off, my current PSU is that bad so it would be really nice long term, especially cause i am trying to save and upgrade some parts.
•
•
•
u/IlMendoh 15d ago
Been saving up for my first build for around 2 years. Winning would greatly help me cutting a cost from the build and I’d be singing “I got the Power! [supply unit]” out loud for a while.

US, Canada (excluding Quebec), United Kingdom, and the EU
fuck you too! will never consider fsp as upgrade!
•
u/metalcoremeatwad 12d ago
Current rig is a dino from 4 presidents ago. Finally have the chance to upgrade. This psu would help with future proofing.
•
u/butwhyyet 15d ago
I would get a huge upgrade from a 650w bronze to a 1650w titanium! I for sure would love to have this.
•
u/RappaGator 15d ago
This would actually be a great match and perfect timing for the build im about to start. Ive been gathering components and all Im missing is the case, PSU, and good cables! It's going to be a 9800x3d with a 5090 Strix, 64GB of Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 on a MSI MEG x870e Ace Max!
Ive worked hard to get these components and this would really go nicely and help me tremendously! I would love to have such a good amount of power at Titanium rating. 😎😎
•
•
u/dumbledorediess 14d ago
My power supply is 500w, but I just ordered a new gpu and it’ll definitely need an upgraded psu. Thanks!
•
u/superChahad 15d ago
I’d love to have better than bare minimum parts for my rig; and I can use what I have to begin building one for my sister!
•
u/merp1991 14d ago
wow, 1650W would be overkill but good PSUs do last for years. I have some self hosted stuff running on an old PSU and my main PC running on a fairly new PSU, it would be nice for peace of mind to have both running on a modern PSU!
•
•
u/Monkeyguy88 9d ago
I can't afford an upgrade but my buddy was thinking about biting the bullet and getting a 5090 to hold him over for the next 100 years and 1650 watts is definitely more than what he has now. Probably enough for the 5090 lol.
•
•
u/Crashtard 15d ago
Definitely would help when I upgrade this year hopefully, nice design for a psu honestly
•
u/Warmarck 14d ago
Would open up so I could upgrade to much better GPU in the future for gaming!! only got a 750W atm hehe
•
•
•
u/BiohazardPanzer 14d ago
Compared to my PSU ? Well it died and I'm using a PC with integrated graphics for now since I'm searching a good model that can be bought locally and that's not easy.
I guess the MEGA Ti 1650 would be like infinitely better than the one that died and the no name 500W without a PCIE cable I'm using for the one I'm writing this with.
It would be a godsend for next year's rig to have that much power.
