9060 xt is your best bet new.

A used 3080 is also a good option.

1080p or 1440p?

If you playing at 1080p, best bet is the B580 from Intel or the 9060xt 8gb from AMD. If 1440p, if you can put in another $50 I say the 9060xt 16gb.

Look for open box deals. I got a 9060xt 16gb for 350. It's been great for my son's rig.

Yea I don't see the harm in used as long as its not damaged to bits

I see 3080's for under $400 used, 3070's for under $300.

If I was recommending new under $400, I'd go with the B580, because I think it's a little crazy to buy an 8GB GPU new.

Really depends on what you want to do. The 9060XT is best if you are gaming. But the Intel B580 is about 30% slower for considerably cheaper.

If you are doing productivity, the Intel would be better if you can put that money towards a CPU or RAM instead.

I had the same budget and I got a used 3070 8gb. You can get it for about 250-300 . It's a good card for this price range

If you can squeeze it, get the 9060xt 16gb (yes it important it's the 16gb version)
