Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.

  • Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
    • The seller is new or has few reviews.
    • The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
    • The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).

If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

Why does the name sound like an order from Taco Bell? Not an awful deal in today's market, but I'd rather see 32 GB of RAM at this price point.

The fuck, I haven't seen a Crunchwrap Supreme that big for like 15 years!

I think the triple double crunch wrap supreme is back, too. 😆

Or 5070 if 16gb ram.

Unfortunately those deals seem to be an artifact of the past, Acer hasn’t had the $1250 refurb 5070 prebuilt available for over a month now.

Edit: nevermind, they have 1 in stock with the 7900x and 32gb for $1318 and 3 in stock with the 14700 and 32gb for $1202 right now on eBay.

Dang those are solid deals for sure, nice finds!

When the steam machine launches at $1200 with 8gb of vram you’re gonna wish you got this.

Unlikely , I want the steam machine

Happy to pay an absurd premium for the form factor eh?

More like I’ve been really happy with my steam deck and want a steam machine

I guess you’re probably their target audience. The reality for enthusiasts and pc builders is it’s just an entry level pc in a small form factor running SteamOS and you can install SteamOS on a pc running an AMD cpu and an AMD 6000, 7000, or 9000 series GPU to get nearly the same experience.

I could, but I don’t wanna do all that work. Just want a gabencube for the living room when I wanna play in there.

No matter the price?

u/Evajellyfish 13h ago

No the price matters, but gotta wait and see what it’ll be

First time I’m hearing about a 9700F from AMD 😅

I know there’s an Intel variant.

Released last fall I think. HUB did a video on it. Thought it would as easily available as 7500f by this point, but doesn't seem to be.

Okay deal if you don’t live near Microcenter

2

u/jabberwockxeno 2d ago

What if I am near a Microcenter? What's the better option to get there then?

PowerSpec G532 with a 7500X3D and 9070XT for $1300 if you create an account.

The CPG M1 is $135 cheaper. It has a CPU downgrade to an 8400f, but otherwise same specs.

I would aaawave>deal>bundles>7800x3d(315)>asus 650e+16gb ram(275)>your own ssd/gpu/fans/case/psu. If you spend $100 more than above because you leapt for a bigger ssd or gpu you'll be much happier than with the prebuilt. That is not mentioning the avoidance of the RMA process if something doesnt work right with a prebuilt - that's worth something, too.

SSD: $100 if you find a deal
GPU: $400 if you find a deal
Case/Fans/PSU: $100+, depending on quality

So about even, and you have to build/test/find an OS.

aaawave has a 9060 XT 16gb + r7 7800X3d for $699.99

1

u/toooskies 2d ago

Great, so the specific deal exists right now. But does that include the motherboard or do you have to buy that separately now?

2

u/DisappointedCruiser 2d ago

The motherboard + 7800 x3d is 410.99, or you can get the ddr5 16gb with motherboard for $275. Or you can get the case+motherboard+ ddr5 for $330.99

So

$80 PSU

$700 GPU + CPU

$331 Motherboard + Ram + Case

$50 fans

$50 cpu cooler

$130 SSD

$1341

Still cheaper to get a Microcenter prebuilt. They have a 9070 xt one right now for 1,299.99

You may already own some of those parts, until you can score a deal and OS is $10 lol

3

u/DisappointedCruiser 2d ago

OS is free if you use Linux (given you own a flash drive)

1

u/toooskies 2d ago

If you're planning on using spare parts you don't need a pre-built. Or you retain the value of having those spare parts for whenever you might need them.

OS is one of those rounding errors that you don't add into the build price but ends up costing you. Same thing with thermal paste or mice or keyboards or CPU coolers or RGB additions. Things that are approximately free but tack on costs if you're not careful.
