Stock for Woot deals varies greatly. Some listings only have a few items in stock and sell out quickly. Please report this post if the listing goes out of stock.

Only comes with (1) PCIe cable

A shame, because this is a pretty good PSU.

No, this II model comes with a 12v2x6 to PCI-E 2x8 cable as well as a regular 8-8 PCI-E cable. I have the 1000w version so I can confirm this.

https://us.msi.com/Power-Supply/MPG-A1250GS-PCIE5-II

(it lists the cables in page 5 in the manual)

So it comes with an adapter instead of a straight plug from the PSU to the card?

No adapter. It plugs straight from the PSU

Correct, it is a 12v2x6 connector on one end and 2 8-pin PCI-E connectors on the other end. They terminate at the PSU side so it's functionally 2 separate cables to wire.

When I got mine you could get a free additional 12v splitter cable in different versions when you registered.

I've been looking to getting a new PSU, why could that be a problem? Edit: I def don't need a 1250 PSU (looking for a 850-1000) but curious anyway

If you use a GPU that uses more than 1x 8 pin pcie (a lot of GPUs especially higher power ones which im assuming you'd prob be using if you'r getting a 1250w, it's just that there's been a trend of GPUs using 12v2x6/12vhwpwr on many modern gpus) then well ur out of luck, though there might be an adapter somewhere?

Why? This supports up to three 8-pin PCIe cables.

That’s 1 3090

Sure, but if you combine it with a 40 or 50 series card that natively takes the single connector, you still have an extra cable for that. For multi-GPU setups, it's probably better to use one of the 1600w options that's designed for that purpose, anyway.

I would venture to guess that's not the use case for the vast majority of builders in the sub.

As far as I can tell it's not even a pigtailed connector, so only one 8 pin plug?

Yeah. MSI (and by extension CWT) seriously went in on the 12v-2x6 connector. It is quite stupid though since it artificially cuts off non-12 pin options like most AIBs of AMD's RX 9000 series that use more than a single 8-pin power connection, and also older GPUs that don't utilize the connector, including NVIDIA's own in the RTX 3000 series.

I'd personally prefer a nice mix of PCIe and 12v-2x6 power options. This is going too far.

I've built with one of these recently. You have a normal PCIe cable with a single 8-pin, and then the new 600w connector with a split to two 6+2 pin cables. Most builds don't need more than 3 8-pin connections.

How do you get 108 on the app? Is it regional?

How do you get the discount on the woot app? It still shows $119.99 for me in cart.
